Keen going sort having first run since leaving Alan King. Won on good ground at Chepstow last spring but has shown ability on good to soft and if settling better gives impression there is more to come.

Spent last season chasing and won at Kelso over this trip. Not seen over hurdles since May 2018 and handicap mark looks a bit stiff on his form in this sphere.

Won a Bumper in 2016 and held in regard when with Nicky Richards but has clearly had his problems and now starting off for this yard on first run for 2 years.

Front runner who may well have won at Cartmel last time but for saddle slipping and unseating rider at the last. Acts well with cut in the ground and looks sure to play a leading role.

Sprang a big shock when scoring at 50/1 at Carlisle in February but looked a bit of an awkward ride when below that form at Hexham on subsequent run so bit to prove now.

Mud lover who hasn't been seen much in the past few years but ran well when third on latest behind an in-form type at Newcastle in March and if ready to go after his break could hit the frame.

Two very disappointing efforts here recently but has some form in the past on this ground to play a part at her best and worth keeping an eye on in the market.

Six wins at this venue on various ground and probably ran to form when fourth here on Wednesday but this arguably a stronger contest.

Forecasts

Green Zone (15/8), Grey Diamond (7/2), Mint Gold (11/2), Birch Vale (6/1), Bestiarius (7/1), Goldencard (8/1), Tayzar (14/1), Deepsand (20/1), Camile (33/1), Zamarkhan (33/1)

Verdict

BIRCH VALE would have gone very close but for unseating at Cartmel last time and can gain compensation with his ability to cope with soft ground in his favour. Grey Diamond needs to learn how to settle but if doing so there must be more to come, while Camile is hard to catch right but any money for for her would be interesting.
