Won good-looking handicaps at Kempton and Newbury last season but well-held this season, including 9L sixth in 1m2f Doncaster handicap last time. Bounce back is required now.

A useful sort for William Haggas and showing signs of coming to hand for this yard with likeable success in 1m4f Lingfield handicap earlier this month. Off the same mark for this and could give a bold account.

Winner of a Leicester handicap towards the back end of last season and made okay reappearance over C&D in May before bombing out over 1m6f on the July Course in June. Off since so best watched on comeback.

Been kept busy already and twice a winner this year, including on the July Course (1m4f) two starts ago. Disappointed at that track on latest start and may be in the grip of the handicapper.

AW winner on seasonal debut and fared better than the result suggested when fourth at Ascot (1m4f) last time. Could have more improvement to come and blinkers are tried for the first time.

Done nothing but improve since switching to this yard from France and made it two wins in a row with stylish success over 1m4f on the July Course in August. Up for 4lb for that but no reason why he can't go on again.

Winner of modest Newcastle novice (1m4f) in December and wasn't beaten far in fifth at Windsor (1m3f) in April. Off since and makes first start for new yard. Will improve with age.

Forecasts

Dramatic Device (3/1), Travel On (3/1), Buzz (10/3), Spirit Ridge (7/2), Persian Sun (11/1), Original Choice (14/1), Stamford Raffles (20/1)

Verdict

TRAVEL ON was incredibly unlucky in a heritage handicap at Ascot last time when he was short of room at a crucial stage. This track and the small field looks set to suit and he could be a stakes performer in waiting. Dramatic Device possesses a similar profile and bolted up over on the July Course but isn't being given a chance by the handicapper with his rise in the weights, while Persian Sun was given a kind ride on his reappearance and could be a late developer.
  1. Travel On
  2. Dramatic Device
  3. Persian Sun
