Sligo Races Supporters Club 2020 Annual Badge Chase

Off time: 16:31 | Winning time: 6m 25.00s

Cap D'Aubois³²

Age: 7| Weight: 11-12| J: Rachael Blackmore| T: A L T Moore| OR: 129| D

22/1

Having his second start for current connections following below-par stays with trainers Willie Mullins and Andrew McNamara. Will need to improve on overall form to play a significant role in this contest.

Form: 73/1345-

Mac N Cheese⁵⁴

Age: 9| Weight: 11-12| J: J B Kane⁽⁵⁾| T: G P Cromwell| OR: 121| D

5/1

Won over this distance when landing a Bellewstown handicap hurdle in July before taking a handicap chase by 1L at Punchestown in May off a 6lb lower mark. Can give a good account of himself.

Form: 816419

Pont Aven⁷²

Age: 6| Weight: 11-12| J: Paul Townend| T: W P Mullins| D

1/1

Useful 123-rated hurdler who won on chase debut at Wexford over 3m1f in May. Beaten at Killarney since but the gelding looks placed for big run here.

Form: 521P-13

Mon Storm¹⁹

Age: 8| Weight: 11-6| J: Darragh O'Keeffe⁽³⁾| T: V Wilson| C

16/1

Won a third hurdle of his career when landing a Kilbeggan handicap over 2m3½f earlier this month. Possibly best watched on chasing debut unless the market suggests otherwise.

Form: 145151

Eoline Jolie⁶⁶

Age: 5| Weight: 11-5| J: Sean Flanagan| T: C A McBratney| OR: 118

33/1

Off the mark on chasing debut in a Roscommon beginners contest in July before being well beaten finishing last of five at Tipperary on her final start for trainer Willie Mullins. Unlikely to be making a significant impact.

Form: 06-0015

Make My Heart Fly^t¹⁹

Age: 7| Weight: 11-5| J: Sean O'Keeffe⁽⁷⁾| T: G Elliott| OR: 100| D

9/2

Off the mark for connections at the sixth time of asking when winning a Kilbeggan 2m4f beginners contest earlier this month. More than capable of a big run and should go well with a clear round.

Form: 223241

Aasleagh Dawn¹⁹

Age: 6| Weight: 10-13| J: J M Moore| T: G P Cromwell| OR: 117

6/1

Genuine type yet to make her mark in three starts over the larger obstacles including a couple of defeats in the last month. Liable to find a couple stronger.

Form: 0-20844

Sunrise Lady⁵⁰

Age: 7| Weight: 10-13| J: Ricky Doyle⁽⁵⁾| T: C O'Dwyer| OR: 112| C| D

14/1

Modest 108-rated handicap hurdler. Nothing of note in three starts over fences to date including when failing to complete on latest start at Roscommon last month. Looks a tall order on form shown.

Form: 20-146P

Forecasts

Pont Aven (1/1), Make My Heart Fly (9/2), Mac N Cheese (5/1), Aasleagh Dawn (6/1), Sunrise Lady (14/1), Mon Storm (16/1), Cap D'Aubois (22/1), Eoline Jolie (33/1)

Trainer Willie Mullins appears to have found an ideal opportunity for the Doyen gelding, PONT AVEN can get back to winning ways here following defeat behind a couple of higher rated stablemates Robin De Carlow and Brahma Bull. In a weak looking contest, the Gavin Cromwell-trained pair Mac N Cheese and Aasleagh Dawn along with Make My Heart Fly, winner at Kilbeggan last time out, can battle for the minor honours.
