In flying form over both hurdles and fences recently and racked up a hat-trick of wins with success in extended 2m4f handicap hurdle at Southwell this month. Risen 10lb since but commands respect.

C&D winner last season but out of sorts of late. Ran out at Sedgefield two starts ago before 20L third in 2m4f chase at this track last time. Tends to run well here but is an enigmatic character.

Lucky Robin20

In cracking form this summer and took advantage of reduced chasing mark when winning 2n novice handicap chase at Sedgefield last time. Still well treated off current mark and the one to beat.

Hexham winner last November but generally disappointing since. Put up better effort when 5L third in 2m chase at that venue last time but looks to be exposed now.

Instingtive16
Age: 8|  Weight: 10-9| J: Ross Chapman| T: Miss L Harrison| OR:  93| D
8/1
Generally a consistent sort but put up poor comeback effort when 42L 11th in 2m hurdle at this track this month. Entitled to strip fitter for this and previous form merits place claims.

Very little to shout about in the form book and fell when tired in 2m4f chase at this track last time. Hard to make a case for.

Forecasts

Lucky Robin (11/8), Double Court (3/1), Le Frank (4/1), Instingtive (8/1), Go West Young Man (11/1), Thepensionfund (16/1)

Verdict

LUCKY ROBIN has been mixing hurdles and fences recently with great success and is the preference to notch a fourth win in a row.The seven-year-old has been treated mildly with his 3lb rise and his victories suggest there is more progression to come with him. Double Court is in similarly good form but the handicapper is taking no chances with him off his current mark, while Instingtive can be forgiven for his recent comeback effort and usually plugs on for a place at a track he tends to like.
  1. Lucky Robin
  2. Double Court
  3. Instingtive
