Back on his preferred surface and all four AW wins have been gained under Adam Kirby. Tactically versatile and trainer amongst the winners of late.
Handicap debut now but lots of experience over hurdles and Ffos Las second in August reads better after the winner followed up last week. Opening mark looks fair enough.
Dual winner here in early 2018 and well treated on those wins though best AW form these days seems to be on the Southwell fibresand.
In cracking form this year on turf and his Goodwood win earlier in the month was his fourth success of the year. Not seen on the AW since early 2017 but that was a win at Chelmsford so this surface should hold no terrors.
Hasn't won since debut in 2017 and tardy starts have been a problem on occasions of late, but often seen in stronger company than this so no surprise should he bounce back.
Has built up a very progressive profile at this venue and took another step forward when third to a pair of in-form three-year-olds on latest visit. Relatively lightly raced and could have more to come.
Career tally of just one win from 23 starts a bit of a concern but Bath second last week was another solid effort and his stamina will be a help if this is strongly run.
Two wins at Thirsk this summer but has looked to have gone backwards of late having refused to race last time after starting very slowly at Haydock and clearly now comes with risks attached.
Developed into smart juvenile hurdler last winter culminating in a fourth in the Triumph Hurdle in March. Not seen since then but if ready to go after absence as he was progressing when last seen on the Flat.
Won here in April when with Archie Watson but form has tailed off since winning a weak seller and ran badly on both starts for this yard so bit to prove now and others preferred.
Forecasts
All Yours (11/4), Sir Prize (3/1), Running Cloud (6/1), Nelson River (7/1), Sufi (8/1), Buckland Boy (8/1), Unit of Assessment (9/1), Seaborn (10/1), Argus (11/1), Cafe Espresso (33/1)
SIR PRIZE and Seaborn are similarly progressive types who like this track and narrow preference goes to the former. Running Cloud is proving frustrating but could hit the frame if having a decent pace to aim at.
- Sir Prize
- Seaborn
- Running Cloud
