Horse A-Z
10,000gns foal; took a sizeable step forward when turning over the John Gosden-trained filly Daily Times at Brighton (6f, good to firm) three weeks ago; 7lb penalty is effectively negated by the promising claimer Marco Ghiani.
40,000gns yearling; first foal from an unraced dam who was a half-sister to three winners, most notably Drapers Gold (1m2½f); merits a cautionary market check on debut.

Seventh foal; Royally-owned Toronado filly out of the 5f-1m winning dam Raymi Coya; half-sister to the Listed-placed 6f juvenile scorer Make Fast; ticks plenty of the required boxes on paper.

Has a slightly inconsistent profile (after four starts); that said, can be given a chance on her peak form, namely her Haydock debut second to Buhturi; interesting to see how she fares over 7f on AW debut.

Seven-race maiden who is fitted with cheekpieces seeking that elusive breakthrough success; beaten ½L (6-4f) by Hashtagmetoo over C&D on her penultimate start.

Coach House filly; 50-1 when always toiling (last of six) on debut at Bath (5½f, firm) three weeks ago; highly unlikely to provide the solution.

16,000gns yearling; 33-1 for debut at Newmarket (6f, good to firm) last month when finishing eighth of nine to the useful Huraiz; improvement considered possible on this switch to Polytrack.

38,000gns yearling; half-sister to seven winners, including the UAE scorers Faulkner (6f-1m½f) and Fiscal (7f AW); finished in midfield in an above average race on debut at Ascot (6f, good to firm) earlier this month.

€35,000 yearling; fourth foal from a German 7f 2yo Group 3 and French 1m2f winning dam; sister to the Listed-placed 6½f scorer Sa Mola, and a half-sister to two other winners; most certainly noteworthy on debut.

Taamer
Age: 2|  Weight: 9-0| J: Jim Crowley| T: C Hills
9/2
Tamayuz filly from a moderate dam (1m) who was a half-sister to three winners, Starbright, The Giving Tree and Glebe Spirit (all over 1m); carries the Hamdan Al Maktoum silks.

Horse silk

Fourth foal; half-sister to the 1m½f juvenile AW winner Antonian, and also the 1m3½f scorer Arabist; appeals as the type to do better with time.

Forecasts

Belle Anglaise (5/2), Incognito (7/2), Taamer (9/2), Paycheck (6/1), Cranberry (10/1), Feelinlikeasomeone (10/1), Sky Lake (20/1), Bright Spells (20/1), Taima (25/1), Mums The Law (33/1), Lady Codee (50/1)

Verdict

Belle Anglaise took a significant step forward when turning over a John Gosden-trained odds-on favourite at Brighton (6f), and her trainer Stuart Williams very cannily negates her 7lb penalty by employing the promising claimer Marco Ghiani. The upped-in-trip AW debutante Feelinlikeasomeone has an inconsistent profile yet is a contender on peak form. Meanwhile, of the newcomers the likes of Cranberry, Sky Lake and Taamer all tick plenty of boxes. However, in a race which is more about the future than the present, a tentative shout goes up for the David Simcock-trained filly PAYCHECK who could feasibly fare better than on debut at Ascot (6f).
  1. Paycheck
  2. Sky Lake
  3. Belle Anglaise
