Has made a fantastic start to his chase career with three wins coming from his four appearances. His latest victory came at Stratford (2m3½f). Handicap debut here. Has a great chance of more success.
Scored over fences on his second chase start at Uttoxeter (2m4f) in a seven runner field by 2¾L. Has gone up 8lb for that success so he will need to produce more, however, he is one of the leading contender.
Had a lot of success as a novice over fences, however, his recent form has not been great, with his latest effort coming at Cartmel (2m5f) where he had just one horse behind him in a seven runner field. Needs to improve.
Has a great strike-rate over fences, scoring on five of his seven starts. He was a winner at Worcester (2m1½) two runs ago, while his latest appearance came over hurdles at Cartmel (2m1f) where he was disappointing. Big player on return to fences.
Won three times last year as a novice chaser. His form earlier this year was poor though, including latest effort at Haydock (2m4f) where he was seventh of eight. Others appeal more here.
Experienced chaser who scored for the third time over fences at Bangor (2m1½f). Appeared in a Listed contest on his latest outing at Market Rasen (2m5½f) where he was 7th of 14. Easier assignment here. One for the shortlist.
Has been running consistently well recently without success over fences. He was third of seven last time at Uttoxeter (2m4f). Remains off the same mark as his latest effort. Visor is on for the first time. Others are preferred.
Forecasts
Potterman (2/1), Vivas (4/1), Solar Impulse (6/1), Lovato (6/1), Dandridge (7/1), Double Treasure (9/1), Candy Burg (10/1)
POTTERMAN is really enjoying it over fences at the moment with three victories coming from his four chase starts and he can continue his sequence of wins here on his handicap debut where he looks to be off a workable mark. Lovato was impressive on his second chase appearance, scoring at Uttoxeter so he has to be considered despite his rise in the weights, while Solar Impulse is stepping down a level from his recent Listed effort and is capable of hitting the frame here.
- Potterman
- Lovato
- Solar Impulse
