Victorious off a 1lb lower mark at Brighton (6f, good-to-firm) just over a month ago but disappointing in five subsequent starts including at Pontefract on Friday. Others hold stronger claims.
Dual AW winner including in a 6f claimer at Wolverhampton in June. Finished runner-up on three of his four subsequent starts most recently when beaten a short-head in a claiming race over this C&D earlier this month. One to note in this contest.
Ran well to finish 2L second in a 6f handicap at Yarmouth (good-to-firm) last week. Races off the same mark here and is of interest having won on the AW in the past.
Beaten ¾L when finishing third in a six runner claiming race over this C&D last time out. Finished behind Swiss Pride that day and interesting to see how she fares on this occasion.
Finished third on each of his last three starts including when beaten 5L over this trip at Windsor (good-to-firm) at the start of this month. Three previous AW starts (including a victory) came on Southwell's fibresand surface.
Impressed when justifying favouritism by 3½L in a handicap over 7f on the AW at Lingfield on his penultimate start. Good second over an extended 7f on good-to-firm ground off this 8lb higher mark at the same track subsequently.
Dual AW winner including in a 5f novice race at Newcastle in January. Fair form since switched to handicaps most recently when third over 5f at Bath (firm) at the start of this month.
Good 3L second in a C&D maiden in February. Failed to figure when finishing seventh over 7f on handicap debut here recently however.
Failed to place in four starts for previous yard including in a classified contest at Chepstow (1m, good) in June. Blinkers tried for the first time on stable and handicap debut.
Forecasts
Almokhtaar (7/2), Swiss Pride (5/1), Kwela (6/1), Turn To Rock (7/1), Fancy Flyer (7/1), Alicia Darcy (9/1), Mr Buttons (10/1), Lorna Cole (10/1), Jungle Juice (12/1)
FANCY FLYER was a winner on his penultimate start and he looks capable of handling this drop in trip to register a victory in this three-year-old only handicap. The selection can get the better of Jungle Juice who is another with winning form on the AW while third place can go to Swiss Pride who was narrowly beaten here on his most recent start.
- Fancy Flyer
- Jungle Juice
- Swiss Pride
