Four-race maiden in Meydan shaped with promise the last twice. Returns from a break on British and stable debut and respected on first run in a handicap.
Remains a six-race maiden and has run very poorly in two starts for new yard since leaving Clive Cox. Hard to fancy in her current form.
Sole win came over this C&D and he shaped well on his other AW start, so is open to improvement in this sphere. Not disgraced in much tougher company last time and a contender down in class.
Looked much improved when winning over this distance at Chelmsford on handicap debut and didn't seem to stay the mile when less effective at Kempton. Could shape better here back in distance.
Inconsistent performer in six starts for Robert Cowell all over sprint distances. Sold for 7,000 gns since and doesn't look particularly well handicapped over this new distance.
13-race maiden has rejoined his former yard and wasn't far off her best when fourth on turf last time. Dropping to a dangerous mark on course debut but she can be inconsistent.
Won a seller on his final start for David O'Meara but has been disappointing in three starts for this yard including following wind surgery last time. Remains best watched.
Improved for a switch to fast ground when winning over this distance at Lingfield in June and not far off that on similar ground at Catterick last time. On a workable mark if able to transfer form to this surface.
Five-race maiden is one of her stables lesser lights and has been less than impressive in two handicap starts so far. Didn't shape well on previous visit here and others look stronger candidates.
Daughter of Kodiac has shown steady improvement in three starts to date but has been handed a stiff mark on handicap debut. Improvement needed in first-time cheekpieces.
Gained a second win when switching to front-running tactics over a mile on turf latest. Previously won over 6f and this trip is fine. Has gone close here previously and a likely hope off just 3lb higher.
Won a maiden handicap over this distance at Yarmouth in July but has been very disappointing in two starts since. Needs to bounce back to form on course debut.
Forecasts
Axe Axelrod (6/4), Sharp Talk (5/1), Kennocha (13/2), Ariette Du Rue (7/1), Liam's Lass (11/1), Redemptive (12/1), Friday Fizz (14/1), Geneva Spur (16/1), Rita's Folly (25/1), Vikivaki (33/1), Murqaab (40/1), Gabriela Laura (50/1)
There's plenty of pace on here and while she led last time, Kennocha remains tactically versatile and shouldn't be far away again on a surface that suits. Liam's Lass has looked better on turf but is respected while Sharp Talk is a likely contender back over a more suitable distance. AXE AXELROD gets back to a much more suitable grade and should be a big chance over a C&D that produced his sole success.
- Axe Axelrod
- Kennocha
- Sharp Talk
