Won off 1lb higher mark at Windsor (6f, good) back in May but disappointing in three subsequent efforts. Has won after a break in the past and with useful 7lb claimer aboard, has each-way claims.

Won twice over a stiff 6f earlier this year (Carlisle/Hamilton) but his previous best has been over 7f. Back to form at Leicester (7f, good to firm) last time and although he's won here, will need a ferocious gallop to be seen to best effect.

Arguably an unlucky loser at Salisbury (6f, good) to be beaten ¾L after getting a troubled passage. Yard are in better form now than earlier in the season too and her three previous wins have all been in the Autumn.

In fine form this time last year, including winning this race off 4lb higher mark. His nine runs this season have only yielded one similar effort and his chance is taken on trust despite being good enough if on a going day.

Generally consistent this season but found life tough off similar marks since winning a big-field 6f handicap at Doncaster in May. Too keen at Ascot (6f, good to firm) last time which can be forgiven but may need more help from the handicapper.

5f Listed winner 15 months ago but generally in the doldrums since then, the exception being when second at Yarmouth (7f, firm) two starts ago. So well-handicapped he's hard to ignore with cheekpieces added for the first time.

Prominent racer who was not suited by a four-runner last time when too keen at Ffos Las (6f, good to firm). Had a good season in the main and is less exposed than most of his rivals if he's ready to go after a short break.

Won on the July Course (6f, good to firm) back in June and has ran fairly in defeat since then. Still 5lb higher than that victory and although conditions pose no problem, may find a couple too good once more.

Won three races in the last six weeks at Brighton, Newmarket and Epsom (all 6f) since having a wind operation. Up a total of 13lb to a career high mark and whilst it's hard to knock a horse in such good form, more is needed now.

Lady Dancealot (2/1), Haddaf (5/1), Spirit Of May (11/2), Equiano Springs (7/1), Cent Flying (7/1), Captain Colby (10/1), Firmdecisions (14/1), Suzi's Connoisseur (16/1), Erissimus Maximus (16/1), Ghost Queen (16/1)

Verdict

After quiet start to the year, David Elsworth's are now in better form and LADY DANCEALOT can make amends for an unlucky defeat at Salisbury recently. As one of only two three-year-olds in the line-up, Spirit Of May is open to further improvement on a track which will suit his racing style whilst Haddaf is thrown-in on his best form under a very good young jockey.
