Improved from debut to justify favouritism in a Beverley maiden but beaten at odds on when tackling a novice event at Lingfield last time out. Extra furlong should suit but will need to improve to defy his opening mark.

Green on debut at Newmarket but improved to finish runner-up at Doncaster next time out and justified favouritism at Haydock last time, despite racing keenly in the early stages. Every chance this step up in trip will suit.

Green on both of his first two starts but produced a more professional performance to win at Musselburgh last time. Opening handicap mark is no gimme though and will need to improve to land this.

Denied by a subsequent winner on soft ground at Nottingham second time out but made no mistake when winning at Thirsk last week, shaping like a step up in trip could yield more improvement. Opening mark could be lenient.

Off the mark at the seventh attempt in a firm ground handicap at Bath last time out but he has plenty more on his plate here from his revised mark.

Bolted up in a Class 6 at Lingfield in July but that form proved below par and he failed to follow up under a penalty next time. Hasn't looked well-handicapped in any way subsequently and others make more appeal.

Still a maiden after seven starts and while he posted a career best at Thirsk last time over this trip, the handicapper has had his say since and this is tougher again.

Finished 2L behind Plymouth Rock last time out when fifth of 10 at Thirsk and while he's better off at the weights this time around, he's not guaranteed to appreciate the step up in trip as much as his re-opposing rival. More needed.

Off the mark at the sixth attempt when getting the better of Clay Regazzoni at Thirsk last time out. 5lb higher now though and finds himself in a more competitive heat.

Age: 2|  Weight: 8-0| J: J Fanning| T: K Dalgleish| OR:  61

Well beaten on each of her three starts including when stepped up to this trip at Ripon last time out on soft ground. Hard to recommend from 1lb out of the handicap here.

Forecasts

Tell Me All (9/4), Plymouth Rock (4/1), Atheeb (11/2), Yoshimi (8/1), Clay Regazzoni (9/1), International Lion (10/1), Top Buck (11/1), Sir Arthur Dayne (14/1), Viceregent (22/1), Bye Bye Euro (50/1)

Verdict

ATHEEB rates as an exciting prospect for Sir Michael Stoute and the colt looks sure to appreciate every yard of this longer trip. Similar can be said for Plymouth Rock who was impressive last time out and would appear to be on a workable mark. Sir Mark Prescott's handicap debutantes are always interesting when stepped up in trip and Tell Me All is one to keep an eye on in the market.
