Struggled in handicap company at Royal Ascot before emphatically scoring at Killarney in July; not disgraced in Group 2 race at the Curragh on his latest and expected to benefit from this step up in trip; respected.

Has been generally out of form since May (aside from one useful effort at the Curragh in August); has never really excelled at this trip in recent times but one to consider on the best of his form.

Won a Leopardstown claimer for Ger Lyons last month, but could run just respectably on debut for new yard returned to handicap company at Killarney next time.

In good form this summer, although his wins have come at claiming level.. Excellent third of 18 to Waitingfortheday in a 1m handicap at Galway last month, and better than the result when seventh in Irish Cambridgeshire on penultimate start.

Belied his odds to easily win a Cork maiden at the start of this month and did so in very impressive style over this trip; inexperience may be his downfall here but certainly one with a better chance than most in this small field contest.

Not the most consistent at present and finished 14/14 last time out at Down Royal; has won over course and distance so not totally out of it but looks out of her depth here.

Forecasts

Simsir (4/5), Dunkirk Harbour (5/2), Yuften (4/1), Aussie Valentine (16/1), Tony The Gent (20/1), Aneczka (66/1)

Verdict

DUNKIRK HABOUR looks to have an excellent chance of getting back to winning ways dropping back in class having contested a Group 2 race last time out. The step up in trip is an unknown but he is likely to be too classy for these rivals. His main (and only danger) may be Simsir who scooted away from some fair rivals on his debut at Cork recently. With a little more experience under his belt he would likely give the selection more to do.
  1. Dunkirk Harbour
  2. Simsir
  3. Aussie Valentine
