Won narrowly over C&D back in May before running well at Newmarket (1m, good) shortly after. Hasn't been in the same form in three outings since then and needs to ease in grade to spark a revival.
Returned from over a year off at Kempton (7f, Polytrack) two starts ago to finish third, form that looks stronger now thanks to the winners exploits. Possible that his Chelmsford run came too soon last time and he has ran poorly there before.
After a four-month break, he has been running well. Won at Leicester (1m, good) two starts back before finishing second at Sandown (1m, good to firm) off this mark on Friday. Rated 14lb higher on the AW and so is one to consider in current form.
Landed a hat-trick 12 months ago but has been mostly disappointing since then. Beaten a total of 48L on his last two starts and, therefore, enthusiasm for his chances is not strong despite being back on his last winning mark.
Unlucky not to get closer than fifth at Wolverhampton (1m½f, Tapeta) last time out after not getting a clear run through. Has ran well on both visits here and can be given a chance if everything falls right.
Hard to knock this season, making the frame on all five starts. Another good performance when second at Windsor (1m, good to firm) 25 days ago but up another 2lb and handicappers grip is beginning to tighten.
Got off the mark at the second attempt and on seasonal debut at Redcar (7f, good) last month. Not disgraced when third at Bath (1m, good to firm) conceding weight all round last time out and is an interesting contender on this handicap debut.
Forecasts
Pinnata (10/11), Rock The Cradle (7/2), Mainsail Atlantic (7/1), Lady Dauphin (9/1), Balgair (9/1), Tadleel (20/1), Jackpot Royale (25/1)
Despite a poor run at Chelmsford last time, a chance is taken with TADLEEL to come out on top. After a good seasonal debut at Kempton, his run at the Essex venue may well have come too soon and he has run below expectations on both starts there. After only three runs, all creditable ones, Lady Dauphin makes her handicap debut and is open to further improvement whilst Rock The Cradle is a consistent performer who is should give his running once again.
- Tadleel
- Lady Dauphin
- Rock The Cradle
