Only winner in the line-up but she is giving weight away to some serious rivals. This is also a marked step up in class from when she scored last time out over this C&D.
Took another good step forward last time out when she improved for the step up to this trip to finish third at Haydock (7f; good to firm) behind a subsequent Group 3 winner in the shape of West End Girl. Serious claims.
Well-fancied on debut (sent off 6-4f) and almost made the perfect start to her career when beaten a short-head at Goodwood (7f; good to firm). Should make amends before being stepped up in class at the end of the season.
Posted another good run most recently when fifth in a decent contest at Newbury (6f; good to soft) last month. This looks slightly easier, and she holds a good chance if coping with the step up in trip.
Tailed off on debut at Windsor (6f; good to firm) and now steps up in trip after that disappointing effort. Been given time to recover from that run which was back in July, so may have improved, but watching brief advised for now.
Cost a fair amount as a yearling (160,000gns), but folded tamely on debut at Kempton (1m; standard to slow) which was a bit disconcerting. Bit to prove on the basis of that effort and others look more solid.
Forecasts
Festival Day (4/6), Anfield Girl (7/2), Royal Nation (7/1), Gert Lush (9/1), Kodiellen (14/1), Power Packed (66/1)
A good-quality Novice contest, with Kodiellen considered after a pair of highly respectable efforts in defeat on both starts so far. She is open to more improvement up in trip. However, the pair to focus on are Anfield Girl & FESTIVAL DAY. The former holds some eye-catching form to her name, including when not far behind the subsequent winner of the Group 3 Sweet Solera Stakes winner West End Girl last time out. Narrow preference is for the latter after she only just failed in her bid to make a winning debut when runner-up by the narrowest of margins at Goodwood. She was strong in the market that day & can go one better before possibly taking up her entry in the Rockfel.
- Festival Day
- Anfield Girl
- Kodiellen
