Off the mark on start number five in what was a career best and finally building on the promise of her initial debut. Switches back from AW to turf and up 7lb which is potentially offset by the claim. May find this tougher with ground a query.

Well-backed favourite for her first two starts but failed to live up to expectations, Took a step forward on start four on quick ground at Chepstow over 5f on handicap debut. Respected off same mark with extra trip a plus but ground a concern.

Makes her handicap debut following three well held starts so far and showed a decline in form at Redcar last start. Down to 6f and some improvement needed.

Stuggled in the rear in all three starts to date beating just four rivals home in the process. Probably best watched on handicap debut.

Ran her best race at Catterick (6f, good/soft); on her second start. Gained the run of the race on that occasion, failed to match that performance on her most recent start; hopes now pinned on going handicapping.

Well beaten in his first two starts but showed improved form on paper when not disgraced on the AW at Lingfield. Probably flattered by racing on a slow pace and hard to fancy on handicap debut.

Six-race maiden but has slowly got her act together in four starts for this yard. Didn't get a clear run when just failing by a nose on the AW last time and while she's unproven on the ground, she's got more to offer now.

Inconsistent in seven starts so far but better when third in a 7f seller last time and the time was decent. Not out of it back in handicap company with the drop in distance a positive. First time visor added.

Requinto filly has been very well beaten in three starts to date and now starts life in handicaps with her needing to step up considerably. Others preferred.

Rominintheglomin18
Age: 2|  Weight: 8-10| J: Rowan Scott(3)| T: Andrew Hughes| OR:  48

Beat one rival home in her first three starts and while she finished in mid-division last start, she was still well beaten with no improvement. Hard to fancy on handicap debut.

Kitosb120
Age: 2|  Weight: 8-8| J: L Morris| T: Sir Mark Prescott| OR:  46
10/1
Has beaten one rival home in each of her three starts so far, all at very long odds. First time blinkers added and while she represents a notable yard, she needs huge improvement off this opening mark.

Forecasts

Port Noir (4/1), Timon (4/1), Bockos Amber (5/1), Carmel (6/1), Dreamy Rascal (8/1), Candid (8/1), Kitos (10/1), Rominintheglomin (16/1), Village Rock (16/1), Carriage Clock (25/1), A Go Go (33/1)

Verdict

PORT NOIR has a progressive profile at this level and the way she's heading, a race like this shouldn't be far away. Timon is hard to predict but he shaped well last time and remains on a decent mark back in handicap company. Carmel is a clear danger if she's able to handle the likely softer conditions and the step up to this trip remains a clear plus.
  1. Port Noir
  2. Carmel
  3. Timon
