Not disgraced in four starts since returning to action following a 618 day lay-off in June. One of three in the race for leading owner and worth a market check as post time approaches.
Encouraging efforts at Clonmel and a win at Thurles in the spring leveled out in a couple of innocuous displays at Fairyhouse and when last seen at Killarney in May. Plenty more needed in this contest.
Improving type over the larger obstacles with a win and a runner-up position in her last two starts over fences. Another of three in the race for leading owner and a likely to run well once again.
Six-race maiden over fences running well in defeat in three of his last four starts in the last month. Needs a couple to ruled but not totally dismissed.
Well held in recent starts on the Flat, the Flemensfirth mare needs to repeat the form of a couple of promising hunter chase starts in the spring to pay a role in this contest.
In good form earlier this summer running well at Limerick before winning easily at Uttoxeter over 3m on good ground. Beaten since but a return to form would not surprise.
May have needed the run on return to action in a Kilbeggan handicap chase last month when 17L adrift of the main protagonists. Needs to bounce back in a big way to have a say here.
Veteran, struggling in a number of recent starts and still having to run 5lb higher than last winning mark. Little sign of any light at the end of the tunnel.
Gallant sort who deserves a change in fortunes following a number of solid and consistent runs over fences when not beaten far but still looking for a first win. Leading player with first-time blinkers possibly the key.

Demi Plie (2/1), Churchtown Glen (5/2), Riviera Sun (7/2), Father Jed (5/1), Hash Brown (5/1), Frankly All Talk (6/1), Mister Butler (12/1), Battling Spirit (14/1), Home Place (16/1), Dark Outsider (16/1), Oscar Lantern (18/1), Flirting Lesa (20/1)
The solid and consistent, CHURCHTOWN GLEN can get off the mark for connections at the seventh time of asking over the larger obstacles. The gelding has hit the frame in his last four starts over fences and can get his head in front for the first time with the J P McManus pair Demi Plie and Riviera Sun emerging as the biggest dangers. In a wide open contest the chances of Mister Butler, Father Jed and Hash Brown, the mount of Derek O'Connor should not be taken lightly.
