Took his course record to 2-2 when following a July C&D win with another success here over 7f last time out. Upped another 4lb but very progressive and leading claims once more.

Promise about his first two starts (fourth at Kempton and third here) over 7f before relishing step up to 1m in an impressive success at Ffos Las latest. Bred to be above average and looks one to follow now handicapping.

1m Newcastle winner at two ran well considering the nine month absence when fourth at Kempton over the same trip. Led 1f out there so probably fitness told but that shouldn't be an issue here so is respected.

Slow/unruly starts becoming an ever bigger issue and reared several times here last week before eventually leaving the stalls very slowly and finishing last. Leap of faith needed too great now.

Twice a winner at two but only made the track twice this term with midfield efforts at Goodwood and Kempton. Looks too high in the handicap barring cheekpieces sparking something.

Firm ground Bath winner in early July but been a disappointment in three starts since including his seventh of eight at Ripon last time. Handicap in range but comes with risks.

Dual C&D winner narrowly touched off here again in July before twice finishing midfield at this his favourite course since. Course form a plus but others look more scopey than him.

10/1
Dual 2018 C&D winner but 0-15 in 2019. Ran one of his best races of the campaign here latest when second of seven so can't be ruled out but like most he is vulnerable to the top three in the field.

Forecasts

Attainment (7/4), Motfael (9/4), Mostawaa (6/1), Philamundo (8/1), Reggae Runner (8/1), Glory Awaits (10/1), Harbour Spirit (14/1), Glory of Paris (33/1)

Verdict

A chance is taken here on handicap debutant MOTFAEL who looked one to stay on the right side of when scooting clear by 6L first time over the trip at Ffos Las latest. The biggest threat may come form Attainment who is 2-2 here and clearly remains a three-year-old on an upward curve. Mostawaa mustn't be forgotten either given his respectable fourth latest came after a nine-month absence.
  1. Motfael
  2. Attainment
  3. Mostawaa
