€750,000 yearling; has experience of racing on varying types of ground; made all, keeping on well to fend off Stars In The Sky by 1L in a C&D fillies' maiden last month; can she handle the step up in class?
All three starts have come on the July Course at Newmarket (6f-7f); a decisive winner of a Class 4 fillies' novice on her penultimate start, she blew the start losing all chance behind West End Girl in the Group 3 Sweet Solera Stakes subsequently.
Daaher filly; off to the perfect start when winning a low-key maiden auction at Brighton (7f, good to firm) five-weeks ago; has the potential to improve, but this level of opposition offers a very stern test; considered unlikely.
Progressive Kingman filly; arrives seeking a hat-trick following wins at Newbury and Goodwood (both 7f); won a shade cosily when taking the Grp 3 Prestige Stakes by a neck from the subsequent Salisbury Grp 3 winner Dark Lady; solid chance.
Invincible Spirit filly; created a very favourable impression when a clear-cut 3½L debut winner at Ascot (7f, good to firm) in July; the strength of that form is yet to be fully tested but she rates as a very exciting prospect.
800,000gns yearling; daughter of Galileo; sister to the Irish Derby and St Leger winner Capri; smooth winner of a Cork fillies' maiden (1m, yielding) earlier this month; has ample potential for the future, and could well be improving quickly.
50,000gns yearling; sprung a surprise when a 20-1 winner of a 7f Newmarket (July) fillies' novice three-weeks ago; connections have precious little to lose and plenty to gain by pitching her in deeper here.
€160,000 yearling; half-sister to eight winners; progressive throughout her career and never more impressive than when upped to 1m at Kempton latest (a 6L winner); John Gosden opts to rely solely upon her abilities in this 1m Group 2 contest.
Golden Horn filly (95,000gns yearling); impossible to knock based upon what we've witnessed on track to date (2-3); made virtually all when cutting her teeth in Group company in the Sweet Solera Stakes at Newmarket (form solid) last month.
Forecasts
Cloak Of Spirits (6/4), Powerful Breeze (6/1), Run Wild (7/1), Boomer (8/1), West End Girl (8/1), Passion (9/1), Alpen Rose (10/1), Ananya (18/1), Anna Of Sussex (100/1)
An intriguing Group 2 contest for the fillies with plenty holding a realistic chance. West End Girl was a gritty winner of the Sweet Solera Stakes at Newmarket (Ananya fifth) and rates as impossible to knock. Furthermore, the likes of Run Wild (Gosden), Cloak Of Spirits (Hannon) and more significantly the Galileo filly Passion (O'Brien) have boundless potential. However, with the greatest of respect the Tom Dascombe-trained BOOMER would be shorter in the market if hailing from a high-profile stable. She's done nothing but improve in her last couple of starts, beating the subsequent Salisbury winner Dark Lady at Glorious Goodwood (Prestige Stakes).
- Boomer
- Passion
- West End Girl
