Sauchiehall Street^p⁵⁶

Age: 4| Weight: 9-11| J: Callum Shepherd| T: Noel Williams| OR: 72

11/4

Last win came under today's booked rider and he is still 4lb above that mark. Has developed a tendency to hang under pressure and cheekpieces failed to correct that trait last time.

Conkering Hero^b²²

Age: 5| Weight: 9-7| J: Charles Bishop| T: J Tuite| OR: 68| C

5/2

Has gone off the boil since recording a hat-trick in 2018. His run at Kempton in July promised better than he showed on his next start and he is probably better over 2m.

Form: 08-8747

Brittanic¹⁸

Age: 5| Weight: 9-6| J: Dylan Hogan⁽⁵⁾| T: D M Simcock| OR: 67

5/2

Winless since his first two starts and has become frustrating. Mark continues to fall but he tends to get behind early and lack the pace to challenge. Tackles a new trip but remains hard to trust.

Form: 564334

Sir Gnet^h⁴⁴

Age: 5| Weight: 9-0| J: Daniel Muscutt| T: E A L Dunlop| OR: 61

7/2

Sole success in 22 outings came in basement grade over 1m2f off a slightly higher mark than this. Some of his efforts over 1m4f cast doubts he will stay this far.

Form: 515457

(4)

Carvelas¹⁴

Age: 10| Weight: 8-10| J: N Mackay| T: J R Jenkins| OR: 57| C

12/1

Seven-time AW winner and claimed a C&D success in June. Form has dipped since and his last two runs reflect the difficult spell his yard are enduring.

Forecasts

Moonmeister (10/11), Conkering Hero (5/2), Brittanic (5/2), Sauchiehall Street (11/4), Sir Gnet (7/2), Carvelas (12/1)

MOONMEISTER has the fewest convictions in this lineup and the Irish challenger arrives with the best current form and with his canny trainer securing Adam Kirby for the ride. Sir Gnet, Britannic and Conkering Hero could all be considered well-handicapped but neither can prove their effectiveness at this trip. Sauchiehall Street has a tendency to hang under pressure which prompts caution, whilst Carvelas comes from a yard that are going through a lean spell.
