Had a hard race when scoring at Windsor and he has been well held in three starts since. The small field may, help given a tendency to start slowly, and his rider is good value for his allowance.
An 8-23 AW record includes two C&D victories. A visor failed to correct an alarming loss of form here last month and the handicapper has dropped him 4lb for it. Well drawn but others look safer options for the time being.
From a very good family the trainer knows well and no surprise to see him maturing into a useful sprinter. Has won his last three with something to spare and no surprise should he defy the handicapper again.
His last two wins have come off marks of 88-89 including a C&D success in higher grade this summer. Yet to run a bad race here and stable are having a good spell.
Kempton is his track and 6f his trip. Best form has come in lower grades and he may need this second run back from a 16 month absence.
