5/1
Talented staying novice hurdler who has taken well to fences, winning over C&D in May then following up under a penalty at Wexford on his penultimate start. Found it hard giving weight away last time and let down by jumping; respected nevertheless.

1/2
Top-notch hurdler in his prime. Came to chasing late in life, but had plenty in hand when beating Cliff House at Ballinrobe on his first try before easily following up at Galway in early August; excellent if fit after break.
3

Jan Maat38
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-7| J: Rachael Blackmore| T: H De Bromhead| OR:  133| D
7/2
Meets Wicklow Brave on better terms than when finishing behind him at Galway last time out but was beaten six lengths that day and hard to see him turning things around.
4
Horse silk
25/1
Fair hurdler who does not win that often; has had just the one outing over fences and is unlikely to be good enough here against some potentially classy rivals.

The mare took advantage of a favourable handicap mark to score last time out at Tramore to record first win in eight chase starts; this is obviously much tougher but she jumps well and is in good heart.

Wicklow Brave (1/2), Jan Maat (7/2), Dinons (5/1), My Manekineko (20/1), Court Tycoon (25/1), Indian Music (50/1)

Verdict

The manner of success of WICKLOW BRAVE at Galway in August suggests he is capable of continuing his progression over fences. His jumping is open to improvement but if that has been sorted out then he can land this before progressing to better things. Behind him that day was Jan Maat and he faces him on better terms but whether he is able to make up the necessary gap remains to be seen. The selection won with a bit in hand. Dinons obviously has a chance based on his recent winning form but may be the type to do better when sent over further.
  1. Wicklow Brave
  2. Dinons
  3. Jan Maat
