Cork specialist; generally consistent sort who wins his fair share of races; not seen out since April but has won after a long absence in the past; hard to dismiss.
Is well entered up including Group races on the flat and a valuable hurdle at this track in a few days time; won in a canter last time out at Killarney and may prove very difficult to beat.
Veteran who retains plenty of ability, successful in back-to-back handicaps at Thurles in December/January. Below form on return at Kilbeggan in June and similar on latest outing at Downpatrick in August; has it all to do here.
Stoutly-bred mare; after twice finishing third of nine at Sligo, she waltzed up at Ballinrobe late last month in a maiden hurdle; certainly on the upgrade but maybe not good enough to beat the likely favourite.

Forecasts
Stratum (1/4), Waitnsee (7/1), Jaime Sommers (8/1), Dr Mikey (10/1), The King Of Brega (12/1)
It is hard to look beyond STRATUM who not only has solid form in the bank but also has ambitions in Group races on the flat and a valuable handicap hurdle here next week: Nothing in this field should scare him. Waitnsee is certainly open to more improvement and she nicely won a maiden hurdle race at Ballinrobe last time. She may have to play second fiddle today. Dr Mikey coming off a break must overcome a long absence but he has some solid form and will be looking to pick up some place prize money.
