Vulnerable to improvers, but is in better form than most in this contest. Better off with Melabi at the weights after finishing second to that rival when the pair met at Beverley last time out. Realistic candidate.
Much better effort last time when runner-up at Lingfield (2m; good to firm). That was over further than today's trip, so he must prove himself as he drops back in distance. Could be about to strike if doing so though.
One of very few in the line-up to have actually won a race, with her most recent success coming at Beverley (1m2f; good to firm) last time out. Inconsistent type, but the drop to this grade should allow him to remain competitive.
Showed more signs of progress when runner-up at Chepstow (1m4f; good) on second handicap start last time. Only 2lb higher now and she is still unexposed after just the five starts. One of the major players.
Must bounce back from majorly disappointing effort when seventh at Windsor (1m3f; good) last month. Looked to be getting the hang of things before that, so is worth another chance in this slightly less competitive affair.
Posted slightly better efforts the last thrice, in comparison to how he had been running before that. However, those more recent efforts are nothing to shout about and others look more appealing as he steps back up in trip.
Followed up promising third in Newcastle (1m4f; standard) handicap with a win over hurdles at Cartmel (2m1f; good to soft) last month. Unchanged mark on the level and looks to hold strong claims in this seemingly weaker contest.
This represents a steep drop in grade, after she has contested a trio of decent maidens. Shown absolutely nothing in any of them, but should fare better in this grade. Still needs to go and prove she can do that before any faith is placed into her.
Has improved for the switch to handicaps with a pair of decent placed efforts. Now makes AW debut after seemingly getting this trip when third at Chepstow (1m4f; good) last month. In with a definite shout for sure.

A low-grade staying contest in which clear preference is for the lightly raced LADY SHANAWELL. The selection ran to a good level when third on this surface at Newcastle at the beginning of last month on just his second handicap start, and maintained his good run of form when successful over hurdles at Cartmel recently. There should be plenty more to come from this filly, especially dropped into this grade. Aussie Breeze holds a similar profile, as she seems to be getting better with each start and produced a career-best when runner-up last time. She isn't open to as much improvement as the aforementioned pair, Blyton Lass enters calculations when in such consistent form.
- Lady Shanawell
- Aussie Breeze
- Blyton Lass
