Prevailed to score by a short-head when successful over C&D at the start of last month. 7lb rise fair given he and the runner-up drew six-lengths clear of the field. Been competitive off higher marks in the past, so is likely to remain competitive.

Has ran in some fair maidens, without threatening to any dangerous degree. Needs to prove himself on this surface but is open to any amount of improvement for the switch to handicaps. One of the likelier contenders.

Drops back in trip to 1m for the first time since 2016. Out of form over 1m4f recently, but did post a promising run over that trip when runner-up here in May. Others seem more appealing.

Likes it here, and is now 3lb below the mark he scored off when victorious over C&D in January. Gone backwards since that win though & is subsequently difficult to recommend. Big task on to reverse form with I Think So after their recent encounter.

One of the far less exposed sorts in the line-up, and he achieved what was a clear career-best when runner-up over C&D on AW debut last week. Only 1lb higher for that effort, and should have plenty more to give.

C&D winner who has been disappointing of late, and you would have to go back to last August to find one of his more promising efforts. Well-beaten over C&D last time, and cannot be fancied.

In more encouraging form lately, and narrowly missed out on making the frame when fourth at Ffos Las (1m; good) last time out. Highly likely to be thereabouts if in similar form, and he is down to an attractive mark.

Not seen for almost 100 days and now starts out for new stable. Finished fifth over this C&D when last seen in May. 11lb below last winning mark but has a fair bit to prove and others look more solid.

Runs off basement mark after failing to seriously threaten in four handicap starts at this level. More of the same expected in this contest, and she is subsequently best watched.

Verdict

After his last time out C&D success, Enzo is likely to make a bold bid to follow up that recent victory. It is unlikely that a 7lb rise will affect him too much given how far clear he drew clear of the rest of the field last time, but he is vulnerable to unexposed, improving types such as I THINK SO & Vipin. The latter makes his debut in the handicap sphere after a trio of modest efforts in fairly decent maidens. He should improve a fair bit for the switch to this code. However, narrow preference is given to the former who posted a career-best when runner-up over C&D recently (on AW debut). It is highly likely he will take another step forward, & go one place better.
