0-15 over fences and has looked regressive of late, including last time in novice contest at Tramore over shorter trip. Plenty to prove up in distance.
Sole success in 14 runs came in a maiden hurdle back in 2017. Hasn't shown enough in chase outings to this point to merit selection.
Dual chase winner in summer of 2017, including over 2m4f around here. Nothing since however and back from 341-day absence here. Just 2lb below previous win-mark.
In fine fettle with Punchestown wins over the Cross Country course earlier this year, may have found 2m5f at Killarney a bit sharp last month and leading player back up in distance.
Twice a winner in point-to-points but so far unable to get off the mark under rules in 17 starts. Far from disgraced lately at Tramore and Downpatrick, can't be ruled out.
Has won in point-to-point before but 0-9 under rules and yet to trouble the judge. Others are readily preferred again.
Scored over 2m6f (good; 12-1) at Tramore in May but three runs since have been poor, including being pulled up around here in June. Has to bounce back to form.
Just a 1-34 record and yet to score over these obstacles. Downpatrick second in May would give her a chance but hasn't replicated that in five runs since.
Maiden, shaped well enough over similar trip at Downpatrick in May (third). Off since and races from 3lb out of the handicap now. 10-year-old does find a weak affair and can be considered as such.
Forecasts
Blue Templar (5/4), Doldido (7/2), Rudy Catrail (8/1), Glacial Shadow (10/1), Carlitos Bay (10/1), Maureen's Star (12/1), Robin De Roost (12/1), Shanklys Dawn (16/1), Captain Leo (20/1)
BLUE TEMPLAR is the selection, given the remainder have plenty to prove. Enda Bolger's charge twice scored at Punchestown in the spring over the cross country course and showed enough at Killarney last time to warrant respect here with this trip much more his bag. Glacial Shadow is next best despite running from out of the handicap while Shanklys Dawn and Rudy Catrail could go well if putting their best feet forward respectively.
- Blue Templar
- Glacial Shadow
- Rudy Catrail
