Milan mare, impressive on her debut in a bumper at Tramore (2m) where she justified favouritism to score by 2¼L in June. Sent off 4/5f on hurdles bow at Cork (3m, good) in July but made plenty mistakes and well held fifth of 12. Can do better.
Some promise in three starts so far in maiden hurdles, she tackles this trip for the first time now and will have to improve to get on the board.
Won a point-to-point in April 2018, has shown promise in recent bumper/maiden hurdle starts after a year off and could well improve now upped to this 3m trip. Watch betting.
14-race maiden over timber, has shown an odd bit of promise in maidens including when second over C&D 12 months ago. Unseated rider at the first in Bellewstown handicap recently and comes here needing to bounce back.
Daughter of Kalanisi out of a Presenting mare, hopelessly tailed off on debut in Ballinrobe maiden hurdle (2m2½f, soft; 50-1) recently and best watched for now.
Improved on a number of dismal bumper efforts when finishing third in two hurdle races at here and at Bellewstown. No reason why she can't improve again for those experiences and one for the shortlist.
Promising bumper form did not convert over hurdles at Cork (2m) and Tramore (2m4½f) so far. Remains early days and can improve in time.
Best effort from four to date when collared on the line in 2m4½f maiden hurdle at Tramore 22 days ago. Has to go close with a repeat of that and possible there is more to come.
Some promise in bumper debut at this track in July but tailed off on hurdles bow since at Cork over 2m and needs a big improvement upped in trip (maiden in point-to-points previously).
Finished fourth of 11 in Killarney maiden hurdle (2m7f, good; 3-1f) in July, has since twice gone close in bumpers and should offer a challenge in this line-up.
Half-sister to winning chaser Foxrock, shaped well enough in 2m4f maiden hurdles at Clonmel and Fairyhouse in November last year. Off since, could be more to come over this trip; watch betting.
Improving sort on her last maiden start at Killarney in July but disappointed on handicap debut in a Cork 2m3f contest since. She needs a couple to falter.
Forecasts
Kaletto (10/3), Savina (4/1), Stowaway Sarah (4/1), Kashika (13/2), Harrys Gift (7/1), Venta Garcia (7/1), My First Symphony (12/1), Molly Wedger (16/1), Drumconnor Girl (33/1), Alianome (33/1), Our Majella (66/1), Kalanisi Pearl (66/1)
Savina was odds-on to win on hurdles debut at Cork last time but didn't jump with enough fluency and clearly must sharpen up in that department before opening her account. Drumconnor Girl may improve for this trip while My First Symphony comes here off a much-improved run at Tramore and will hold strong claims if taking another step forward. STOWAWAY SARAH didn't match market expectations on debut at Killarney in July but should be wiser after a couple of sound efforts in bumpers since and could offer a deal more now, ensuring she's worth chancing in an open maiden.
- Stowaway Sarah
- My First Symphony
- Savina
