Group 1 Sussex winner back in 2017 and gained a first win since in this race last year. Very effective when he gets testing conditions and while only seen once this year, he has a fair record fresh. Capable of going well if conditions deteriorate.
Enjoyed a fine campaign on AW this winter but not as effective on turf, particularly if there's cut in the ground. Career best needed.
Ascot specialist who has recorded four of his seven wins at that venue. Has won over C&D though on his only outing here and looks set to get some cut in the ground (usually essential for him to be seen at his best). Worth a crack at this level.
Won a valuable handicap on Champions Day last year and returned with a Listed win at Doncaster in March. Has found life a lot tougher in Group 1 company on his last two starts but worthy of respect back down in class here; acts on soft.
Won three times as a juvenile including a C&D Listed event prior to finish a close fifth in a Doncaster Group 1 in October. Has largely been running well in defeat in Group company so far this campaign but this is tougher than his latest start.
Got his head back in front in handicap company at Newmarket having placed in a pair of Listed races at that venue earlier in the campaign. Disappointing at Goodwood last time though and has a bit to prove back at this trip.

Sharja Bridge (11/4), Great Scot (7/2), Miss O Connor (4/1), Matterhorn (9/2), Walkinthesand (9/2), Raising Sand (5/1), Here Comes When (8/1), What's The Story (10/1)
HERE COMES WHEN isn't getting any younger but he won this race in good fashion last year and conditions look like they are going to be in his favour once again with plenty of rain this week. Sharja Bridge is another who has form on soft ground and should find this test easier than his recent assignments. Raising Sand deserves his chance at this level and has a course and distance win to his name while the unbeaten filly Miss O Connor could yet have more to give up in class here.
