Placed twice in bumpers (has also been tried over hurdles); more than likely needed the run after 11-months off on his debut for this yard (raced off the pace, never involved). Hood (first-time) now joins cheekpieces as the headgear combination.
Looks the sort who will appreciate a stamina test in this sphere, could certainly have benefitted from a stronger gallop when third last time. Second on debut a fortnight before both runs at Roscommon and Sligo have shown promise; sets the standard.

Just the one run to his name making his debut here over a slightly shorter trip late last month; shaped as if the run was needed, never really got involved (finished in the ruck). Yard without a bumper winner (0-16) last five seasons.

Went with very little promise for Liam Lennon on her bumper debut (finished tailed off). Made her hurdling debut for this yard after seven-months off at Downpatrick (2m3f, good), jumped poorly, showed very little, pulled up.

Put a couple of poor first efforts in bumpers and over hurdles behind her when returning from almost a year off last time to finish fourth in a course bumper over a short trip (2m2f). Could be sharper now, trainer/jockey combination 1-2; interesting.
Cost €2,200 as a 3yo, sixth foal, sister to useful hurdler/chaser Springtown Lake (2m4f winner): dam ran once over hurdles. Yard 5-39 in Irish bumpers last five seasons; possibly worth a second glance in the market if there are positive vibes.

Newcomer whose dam won her only two races over hurdles for this yard (ridden by Ruby Walsh both times). Hard to imagine her troubling the principals on her debut and best watched for now.
Placed in a maiden point-to-point on her only start in that sphere (beaten 3L) in May; has some fair jumping relations. Shaped with some encouragement on her Bellewstown debut (2m1f, good), did best of those held up; should improve, top rider booked.
Off the mark In point-to-points on her second start, she then showed that there was something more to work on from her Rules debut in a Limerick bumper (2m, good/soft). Ran to a similar level when last seen gaining a runner-up slot; respected.
Newcomer picked up cheaply for €4,500 at Tattersalls August Sale as a 3yo. Unraced dam closely related to useful bumper/2m3f hurdle/chase winner Ceasar Milan, likely to need this outing but worthy of a look at in the market.

Forecasts

Dakota Beat (6/4), Memories Remain (5/2), Presenting Ana (5/1), Let Her Flow (9/1), Annual Flavour (12/1), Joint Account (14/1), Tommy Kiln (20/1), Scotsman's Bay (25/1), Supreme Sally (25/1), Bonnie's Dream (33/1), Heather Blossom (66/1)

Verdict

The market and jockey bookings often give more clues to these sorts of events than the formbook although DAKOTA BEAT qualifies as the one that sets the standard. He’s already run in two strong looking bumpers and this trip will satisfy his need for a greater test of stamina. Memories Remain and Presenting Ana look the two main dangers on food especially the former with crack amateur Jamie Codd taking over from a 7lb claiming amateur. However, the booking by Denis Hogan of Patrick Mullins for Let Her Flow catches the eye and any money for Annual Flavour and Supreme Sally should be noted.
  1. Dakota Beat
  2. Memories Remain
  3. Let Her Flow
