Horse A-Z
1
Horse silk
25/1
Hurdling newcomer who ran poorly when he was seen on the Flat recently. Stays 7f on the level, could well be a doubt about him staying this 2m; career record reads 1-33, other appeal more.
2
Horse silk
11/2
Point-to-point winner on his third start, also taken a bumper. Looked the type to progress over hurdles but that hasn't happened so far failing to progress from his debut effort last time here over further.

Marine One13
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-12| J: P J Cawley(7)| T: D Hogan
3/1
Fairly useful sort on the Flat despite only winning once (1-16), stays 2m. Now had his attentions turned to hurdling; showed more than first-time up in this sphere when filling the runner-up slot over 2m2f last time; every chance on that form.
4

Ya Boy Ya11
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-12| J: Mr J W Kenny(7)| T: C Bowe
11/4
Dual point-to-point scorer who made a successful debut under Rules when taking a Downpatrick bumper last time. Showed a good attitude to win but did have a hard race last time out (won by 1L); now makes his hurdles debut.
5
Horse silk
33/1
Newcomer; half-brother to point-to-point winner Exhibit Five, dam bumper/fair 2m hurdle winner, also 2m1f winner on Flat. Yard yet to have a winner in the current season 0-5, 1-43 over hurdles last five seasons; best watched.
6
Horse silk
Lough Eske42
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-4| J: K C Sexton| T: E Sheehy
100/1
Pulled up in his only point-to-point his Rules form isn't any better having failed to complete on his last two starts; looks of little account, hard to recommend.
7
Horse silk
100/1
Half-brother to several winners; beaten 98L on his hurdling debut over 2m here, offered little racing off the pace. Would have to improve markedly to make an impression here, that looks unlikely.
8
Horse silk
Cocohulababyt22
Age: 4|  Weight: 11-1| J: E Walsh(7)| T: N Meade
6/4
Fair filly on the Flat (1-8, win came over 7f, AW); showed an aptitude for hurdling on her debut at Bellewstown (2m, good), race has worked out well. Confirmed that promise last time over 2m at Tramore, one of the more likely sorts.
9
Horse silk
Knockatoo Hill285
Age: 7|  Weight: 10-11| J: M J Bolger| T: P Cluskey
66/1
Well held so far in all her bumper/hurdles efforts; finished last of 14 on her most recent effort and looks of little account. Returns from a long absence but hard to think she will get involved with the principles.
10
Horse silk
33/1
Newcomer, fifth foal; half-sister to bumper winner/fairly useful 2m4f chase winner Prolinx, dam bumper winner. Yard yet to have a jumps winner this season and one of the less-likely types in this.
11
Horse silk
100/1
No sound form in two bumper runs and events didn't get any better over hurdles when sent over timber for her debut last time. Very hard to make anything approaching a sound case for on the evidence so far.
12
Horse silk
50/1
Two starts over hurdles have yet to prove that she holds much in the way of ability. Fourth last time out was merely a function of passing beaten horses; hard to imagine much more being forthcoming here.

Forecasts

Cocohulababy (6/4), Ya Boy Ya (11/4), Marine One (3/1), Jack Hackett (11/2), Forza Libranno (25/1), Jim Ja (33/1), Kevins Spirit (33/1), Mind Your Step (50/1), Knockatoo Hill (66/1), Galros Jimmy (100/1), Lady Riposte (100/1), Lough Eske (100/1)

Verdict

If she can reproduce her Tramore second from last time out when bumping into a Willie Mullins hotpot then COCOHULABABY will be hard to beat especially when you consider her debut contest over hurdles has also worked out well. Ya Boy Ya quickly switches to hurdles and if the hard race that he had on his bumper/Rules debut hasn’t left its mark the he’s also in with a good chance. Marine One is another expected to improve with Jack Hackett not yet written off given his previous form in point-to-points and bumpers.
  1. Cocohulababy
  2. Marine One
  3. Ya Boy Ya
