A three-time winner but he has been unable to add to his tally this year where he has been second on his last three starts, including last time at Goodwood (1m1f). Stepping up in trip here but stays off the same mark. Leading player.

Experienced gelding who is looking for his first victory since June 2018. He was third of six last time at Goodwood over 1m1f. He is now off a 1lb lower mark than his last success so he has to be respected on this latest attempt.

Scored over this C&D last time to record his second success of his career. That was his first start of the campaign where he went off as a 20/1 outsider. Has now gone up 4lb in the weights. May need to find more but he is one to consider.

Broke his maiden at the third attempt at Chepstow (1m). Was unable to follow up on his handicap debut at Sandown where he was third of nine over this trip but only beaten by 1L. Has been raised 3lb but is open to improvement. Worth consideration.

Remains a maiden after seven starts, however, he has been running consistently well this season. He was second of nine last time at Yarmouth (1m2f). He remains off the same mark and has the visor on for the first time. Solid claims.

Age: 3|  Weight: 8-11| J: Oisin Murphy| T: E Walker| OR:  75
9/4
Still looking for his opening win after nine runs His last three starts all indicate his maiden success is not far away as he has been second in each of them, including at Windsor (1m3½f) in a six runner field. Down in trip here. Has a good chance.

Forecasts

Starfighter (9/4), Alhaazm (4/1), Blistering Bob (4/1), You're Hired (9/2), Light Up Our Stars (7/1), Rotherwick (17/2)

Verdict

ALHAAZM has not run a bad race in his seven starts so far, he just has not had the luck he needs. Given he remains off the same mark as his second place finish over this distance last time, he should be taken to finally break his maiden. You're Hired has been the runner-up in each of his last three races and that sequence of seconds could be extended over this slightly longer trip from top weight, while recent C&D winner Blistering Bob has to enter the calculations following his success last time, albeit he is now off a 4lb higher mark.
  1. Alhaazm
  2. You're Hired
  3. Blistering Bob
