Had been in good form this summer (twice a winner at this trip) until latest effort at Worcester where she finished well beaten. Might be the handicapper has hold of her now, so unless improving, may find others quicker today.

Looking nicely handicapped now and caught the eye from off the pace at Worcester last time out, finishing off nicely for fourth. Long time since he scored but this may not take much winning, and he has a chance.

Good winner at Newton Abbot in May but couldn't repeat the dose when made favourite at Worcester last time. Still ran okay, and has his conditions again, so could easily bounce back in a moderate contest.

Got to go back to 2017 to find the last time he got his head in front, tried blinkers last time (retained here) but in truth didn't improve for them and although the handicapper is giving him a chance, he's finding it hard to take.

Well backed to score at Bangor earlier in the week but unseated early on (not really his fault). Worry is you've got to go back to 2015 to find his last success but clearly better expected last time and yard flying at present. Has a chance.

Forecasts

Gentleman Moore (11/4), Tempuran (11/4), Vif Argent (3/1), Gold Mountain (4/1), Between The Waters (8/1)

Verdict

Gentleman Moore sometimes has his own ideas about things but he's in good form and if bouncing back to the form of his Newton Abbot win, looks the one to beat. But that's not guaranteed, and VIF ARGENT, an well-backed early casualty at Bangor this week, is taken to gain compensation for his in-form yard. Gold Mountain dropped a hint his turn may not be far away on his latest start and looks the danger.
  1. Vif Argent
  2. Gold Mountain
  3. Gentleman Moore
