Going the right way, winner over C&D in July (second a winner since) and lost nothing in defeat at Market Rasen last time out. Conditions ideal once again and no reason for him not to run his race. Solid chance.

C&D winner last time out although it wasn't all plain sailing, with some sketchy leaps on the way around and did hang under pressure. Unexposed though, so could easily improve again, but does need to tidy that jumping up a bit.

Not without ability (at a low level) on the Flat and has taken well enough to hurdles, his close Bangor fifth a fortnight ago a reasonable effort. Needs this for a handicap mark, where he will be of more interest.

Full brother to the useful Hammersley Lake (same owner), picked up relatively cheaply from France but only showed a modicum of promise on debut at Worcester earlier in the month. Could improve, given pedigree, but others more solid at this stage.

Verdict

All four make some appeal at various levels but FINALSHOT looks the one to beat, despite having a penalty to carry. He's proven over C&D and although the worry of a slow-run race is possible, which may hamper his chance, he still looks the most likely winner. Your Band is another to have tasted victory and if he can sort his hurdling technique out a bit, looks the main danger. Calvinist should be competitive in handicaps after today and Kapsize may yet do better.
