Dual-purpose gelding who was successful over hurdles at Down Royal (2m4f) earlier this season. He has some modest Flat form in France, however, he is still 0-10 at this code. Looks capable of success at this level.

Was successful on his debut in a bumper at Cork in what was an 18 runner field where he cruised to success, scoring by 8L. Makes the switch to Flat now which is likely to suit him, given the speed he showed on his debut. Leading player.

Lightly-raced horse who has had the five runs so far. He has finished a long way down the field in his two starts on the Flat, including his last attempt at Roscommon (1m4f) when he came home at the rear of the 14 runner field. Hard to fancy.

A maiden after 10 starts in National Hunt racing. He was fancied to go well last time over hurdles at Ballinrobe (2m1½f) but could only finish third of six when going off as the 4/7 favourite. Making his Flat debut where this trip could suit.

Has had success over hurdles, fences and in a bumper. This will be just his second start on the Flat though. He was third of six at Killarney (2m1f) last month. Dropping down in trip here. One to consider given his experience.

Has won twice in his National Hunt career, including in a 2m bumper at Cork on his debut. Was fourth of five last time at Tramore (1m4f) on his second Flat start. Stepping up in distance here. Worth consideration.
Yet to prevail in four runs over hurdles, where she has been a long way off the winner in each of those starts. On her latest appearance at Sligo (2m1f) she finished fifth of nine. Makes her Flat debut in this contest. One to watch for now.

Has shown modest form in three bumpers so far. She was third of 12 at Roscommon last time over 1m7½f where she was weakening inside the final 1f. This distance looks more appropriate. Each-way claims.

Still a maiden after 11 races. She has been well-beaten on her two appearances this season, including on her latest attempt here over 1m1½f. Taking a big step up in trip so she has to prove her stamina. Others appeal more.

Still looking for her opening success after 14 runs. Her form has not improved since switching back to the Flat. She was 11th of 13 last time at Tramore (1m4f). Stepping up in trip here. Others are preferred.

Forecasts

Party Playboy (6/4), Presto (3/1), West Coast Time (7/2), Thosedaysaregone (5/1), The Abbey (14/1), More Lies Ahead (20/1), Shes Gold (33/1), Afternoonwithsusan (66/1), Rock Breaker (100/1), Sarah Kate (100/1)

Verdict

PRESTO was very impressive on his debut where he scored in a bumper at Cork. This switch to the Flat looks wise as he quickened up very smartly last time to stretch away from his rivals in the closing stages. He is open to improvement so he is the one they all have to beat here. Party Playboy has won over hurdles and although this is a completely different prospect, he is experienced and should be in the mix at this level on the Flat, while Thosedaysaregone is also a National Hunt winner who should be competitive on his second Flat appearance.
  1. Presto

  3. Thosedaysaregone
