Gelded since his juvenile days he's yet to find his form this year, his two most recent efforts proving very disappointing (didn't impress under pressure last time). Has something to prove now and one to treat with caution.
Took a while to get off the mark eventually doing so in similar conditions to here at Leicester off a 3lb lower mark (suited by the good gallop). Finally reproduced that level of form last time on the AW despite a slow pace; well treated sort.
Dual C&D winner (took back-to-back handicaps in July) but quickly found her good run of form coming to an end (had scored over 6f earlier in the year). Latest run continued her lack lustre form; others present sounder cases.
A second on turf debut (first-time tongue-tie) looked as though it may have been the catalyst for better to come. Sadly, that's not proved to be the case in three subsequent runs; sold for £8,000 he debuts for a new yard over 7f (not sure to stay).
C&D winner (successful on stable debut) who failed to excel when brought back to 6f last time. Should be suited by this return to a stiffer test having fallen 2lb below her last winning mark; handles conditions, not to be ruled out.
Handicap newcomer (stable modest record with 3yo debutants in this sphere) who also makes her debut for the yard (previously with David Simcock). Still looked inexperienced last time (third start); may do better in handicaps off a fair mark.
Forecasts
Indomitable (6/4), Kwela (7/2), Plumette (9/2), Jungle Juice (9/2), Molaaheth (12/1), J'ouvert (18/1)
Hard to say that many of these are in sparkling form and with a fast/sound pace far from assured Kwela may have problems being seen to the best effect again having been rather undone by the lack of pace at Lingfield last time. She still has a leading chance but that one factor may just play into the hands of PLUMETTE who has slipped in the handicap below her last winning mark and will enjoy this return to 7f. Molaaheth has joined the Alex Dunn yard who do well with stable switchers and the handicapper is at last relenting; he may show a little more. Handicap newcomer J’Ouvert isn’t out of this having looked to have some ability, nicely weighted she’s partnered by a good young apprentice.
- Plumette
- Kwela
- J'ouvert
