Useful in handicaps over hurdles he went chasing off the back of two timber wins earlier in the year. Easy to back on his debut in this sphere he jumped well indicating that he had more to offer over the larger obstacles; leading candidate.

Support in the market indicated that better was expected at Bangor (penultimate start) than his previous chase form; so, it proved dead-heating in game fashion. Poor back over hurdles last time, needs to bounce back again off a difficult mark.

Decisive if slightly precarious winner of both his chases his latest win coming over C&D but not without its jumping blemishes. Won comfortably in the end last time but faces a more exacting test here up in class and off a 7lb higher mark.

Struggled to find his firm since joining this yard finishing well beaten over 2m5f here last time beaten some 39L. 1-17 overall in his chasing career the handicapper eases him again; needs to show some spark before he can be supported.

Gradually getting the hang of things over fences (looked unfortunate not to win last time), travelled and jumped well. That run confirmed earlier promise with this trip looking to suit ideally, raised 3lb she should still be competitive.

Forecasts

Teaser (5/4), Admiral's Sunset (3/1), Tidal Watch (4/1), Salto Chisco (6/1), Royal Plaza (12/1)

Verdict

Just the five runners but still a tough little puzzle to work out with the four-year-old Teaser trying for a fencing hat-trick and his second C&D win. There ought to be more to come from him but his jumping has been somewhat wayward and that facet of his game may well cost him here. TIDAL WATCH from the stable that took this last year gives them a good chance of doubling up having shown that his best days over fences are in front of him when running an eye-catching third on debut; he may well appreciate this sharper trip. Admiral’s Sunset has gradually been getting better over fences, arguably a little unlucky not to win last time she has a good chance to make amends here.
