Another intriguing contest with some potentially above average fillies. SHREWDNESS overcame traffic problems to win with loads in hand on her AW debut. She's with a master trainer at extracting quick improvement and based on that performance, even off 8lb higher, she's well enough handicapped. Gallic is reliable and is taken to reverse form with Birdcage Walk, who needs to leave a disappointing run behind. Plait has been highly tried and is better handicapped than Maid For Life, but the latter does have more to offer up in distance.
