Missed whole of last year and has really struggled to make any sort of impression in five starts this campaign. Down in grade but remains best watched.
Now 3lb below last winning mark, however his form has slipped backwards in four starts since a narrow second over hurdles. Hard to fancy at present. Stable won this last year.
Yet to win in handicap company and has been struggling for form in four starts since a third over this C&D in May. Would prefer faster conditions and others preferred.
Has been very well tried in his last three starts and has failed to make the grade. Down in class but both his wins have come on the AW at Kempton and questionable whether he wants cut in the ground.
Course winner remains 3lb higher than soft ground win at York in June but still competitively weighted. Racing to a consistent standard and looked in need of a stronger pace when a rallying third last time. Capable of being involved.
Infrequent winner without a success since April 2017. Got the run of the race when second over 1m3f here last time and may find a couple too strong this time around.
Three of 11 careers successes have come at this track. Heads here off the back of a gutsy 1m5f win in a good time at Musselburgh. Racing to a consistent standard and very likely to be involved off 1lb higher.
Suited by plenty of cut as when winning over Carlisle's 1m3f on heavy this month. 6lb higher now but has gone well off this mark previously and stays this distance. Should be competitive again.
3lb higher than last of two wins at this track this year, both over 1m0.5f. Inconsistent and proving hard to predict with this sharp step up in distance a query.
Up 5lb and in grade following this month's 1m2f win at Nottingham. Stays this extra distance and suited by cut in the ground. Tends to hold his form when hitting a good run and a likely contender.
2lb higher than last month's 1m6f win and she does seem better suited by that sort of faster ground. Well below par on the AW at Newcastle last time and others look stronger candidates.
Forecasts
Deinonychus (7/2), Flood Defence (9/2), Donnachies Girl (5/1), Zabeel Star (7/1), Carbon Dating (9/1), Auxiliary (10/1), Employer (12/1), Shrewd (12/1), Corton Lad (16/1), Dragon Mountain (20/1), Spirit Of Sarwan (28/1)
Corton Lad loves this course and off a similar mark to his latest win, he looks sure to put in another solid effort. AUXILLARY is likewise consistent and has just been in need of a stronger tempo to aim at since his York success. Flood Defence is another to consider particularly if there is more rain while Deinonychus has hit good form in his last two starts and should be involved.
