In and out this year, but won over 1¼m at Leopardstown in June, and placed off 1lb higher at Naas last month. Disappointing at former track last time, but capable of bouncing back despite his welter weight.

Hurdles winner for this yard, and didn't need to improve to land a 1½m Tramore maiden on latest start. More needed back in a handicap, but good rider booked, and he's still low mileage in this sphere.

Ran badly over hurdles in May, but back to form returned to the Flat at Galway when third of 14 to One Cool Poet despite a slow start. Looks a player from the same mark assuming he gets away on terms.

Tramore maiden winner over 1½m last summer, and back to that form when second behind Trossachs at Leopardstown in July. Bit below that form there last time, but remains of interest in handicapping terms.

Several respectable efforts in handicaps for William Haggas this year, but not progressing, and sold for 60,000 gns last month. New yard will find the key to him, but rider is inexperienced, and he will find easier openings in time.

The handicap he won at Leopardstown (1½m) last month was a weak one for the track, and he's struggled to make a serious impact off his revised mark since. Still looks too high in the weights.

Won at Dundalk in January, but seems to have lost confidence after being brought down over hurdles, and fared no better in this sphere at Galway. Beaten again over timber since, and has a bit to prove.

Bounced back from a poor run at Navan when winning all out at Gowran (1m1½f) last month. Backed that up with a creditable fourth under a penalty to One Cool Poet over 1½m at Galway, and will remain competitive from a slightly lower mark.

Placed off current mark at Galway (1½m) last year, and won at the first time of asking over hurdles at Kilbeggan. Good third at Ballinrobe in May, and although below best since, dangerous to dismiss back on the Flat from a fair mark.

Much better than bare result on handicap debut, and improved to win at Down Royal before flopping behind One Cool Poet at Galway. Capable of better than he showed there, and jockey booking takes the eye in this field.

Had been running creditably without success in handicaps, but improved markedly when landing a 1¼m handicap here last time from 23 rivals. Return to 1½m no problem, and should go well if in the same form despite a 9lb rise.

Forecasts

Moktamel (3/1), Ultra Pride (7/2), Share The Honour (5/1), Act Of God (7/1), Next Stop Broadway (10/1), Shamad (12/1), With A Start (12/1), Nimitz (16/1), Politicise (16/1), Flindt (16/1), Stronghold (20/1)

Verdict

Recent course winner Ultra Pride must be respected, as is Moktamel, who will appreciate the return to shorter after trying 1m7f last time, but a chance is taken on FLINDT on his return to the Flat. Dot Love's charge is fairly handicapped on last year's form, and has shown useful form over hurdles since, with his latest effort in that sphere forgiven as he seemed stretched by the 2½m trip.
  1. Flindt
  2. Ultra Pride
  3. Moktamel
