Four time chase winner most recently by 9L over an extended 1m7f at Southwell (good) in March. Held over fences and races off a mark 2lb higher than for that Southwell success.
Sole previous success came in a soft ground handicap hurdle over an extended 1m7f at Leicester in January 2017. Probably best watched having pulled up at Southwell (3m, good) when last in action in the spring.
24 race maiden has run well to finish runner-up over an extended 2m3f at Stratford the last twice. Beaten a neck on good-to-soft ground last time out and is a notable runner dropping in trip.
C&D winner finished a good second in a handicap hurdle over an extended 2m5f at Newton Abbot (good) in May. Pulled up back over fences at Newton Abbot (2m5f, good) last time out and tongue tie tried for the first time down in distance.
Run well on both chase starts so far following up a 2L second at Uttoxeter (2m4f, good) with a 5L victory over this C&D on good-to-soft ground just under a month ago. Bold show likely despite an 8lb rise in the weights.
Held in a selling hurdle last time. First chase start in over four years comes off a mark 15lb lower than when finishing 13L seventh over an extended 2m3f in a handicap hurdle at Bangor (good) earlier this month.
Registered his first victory under Rules when winning over C&D on good ground at the start of June. Beaten 40L upped to 2m4f here the following month and the return to this trip looks likely to suit.
16 race maiden was beaten 37L in a handicap chase over an extended 2m3f at Stratford (good) last time out. More needed if he is to take this event from out of the handicap.
Dual chase winner but out of form since joining this yard in the spring including when pulled up at Newton Abbot (2m5f, good) last time out. Racing from out of the handicap.
Forecasts
Double Court (3/1), Alexander The Grey (7/2), Pointed And Sharp (5/1), Tempuran (5/1), Hillview Lad (7/1), Master Vintage (9/1), Deise Vu (25/1), St Merryn (28/1), Triggywinkle (100/1)
DOUBLE COURT has been in good form since switched to fences and he can register a second chase victory by taking the opening race on the card. Pointed And Sharp is an interesting runner and he can take second dropping back in trip while third can go to the maiden Alexander The Grey who has placed on three of his five starts this season.
- Double Court
- Pointed And Sharp
- Alexander The Grey
