Dandy Man filly that won by the minimum margin at Kempton last time despite obvious signs of greenness, and will improve. Harder task under a penalty here but she's clearly going the right way and will do better again.

4/7
Toronado filly that ran a cracker on her debut at Newmarket (6f), finishing a running-on third and given the winner and fourth have won since, the form looks solid. Should improve for the extra furlong and might be the one to beat.

Helmet filly that had clearly learnt a bit from her debut here in July, finishing sixth in a decent contest at Newbury last time (winner ran well in G2 over the weekend). Going the right way and not discounted here, with more improvement likely.

Very well bred Paco Boy filly, related to useful sorts such as Maths Prize and the rapidly improving Sextant, who has done well this year. Will want further in time but a bit worrying to see the hood so early on in her career. Market will guide.

Roderic O'Connor filly, closely related to the yard's very useful pair Elm Park and Brorocco. Will want further later on in her career but this looks a fair start point for her and she cannot be ignored. Betting will guide as to her chance.

Mukhadram filly, cost 2,000gns as a foal and related to plenty of winners but pedigree suggests she might find a few of these too quick for her on her debut, and she's best watched.

Forecasts

Follia (4/7), Gypsy Whisper (11/2), Irish Tweed (6/1), Restless Endeavour (15/2), High Shine (14/1), Summer Valley (25/1)

Verdict

An interesting little contest and one that could prove informative. Newcomers Irish Tweed and High Shine are both bred to be decent, although the application of a hood for the latter on her debut does sound a few alarm bells. Restless Endeavour already has a win under her belt but has more to do under a penalty, and FOLLIA might be the one to be with today. She ran well despite showing signs of greenness on her debut at Newmarket and if she can take a step forward on that, has a solid chance. Gypsy Whisper took part in a race that should work out well at Newbury too, and she cannot be discounted either.
  1. Follia
  2. Irish Tweed
  3. Gypsy Whisper
