2/1

Generally holding his form well since winning a Killarney 1m handicap in May off a 6lb lower mark. Another bold bid expected but liable to find a couple better handicapped sorts lurking.

Form: 107052

(10)

Poetic Light^h1²⁹

Age: 4| Weight: 9-11| J: S M Mooney⁽⁷⁾| T: A McGuinness| OR: 61| CD

20/1

Almost two years since his lone win in 13 starts and although there have been some fair runs since overall he looks pretty exposed in handicap company. First-time hood fitted.

Form: 570-950

(4)

Bruinneall^b⁹

Age: 5| Weight: 9-10| J: D A McCormack⁽⁵⁾| T: T Cleary| OR: 60

16/1

Improving sort, posted another bold effort in a Sligo 1m2f claimer before disappointing back in handicap company at Roscommon earlier this month. Worth a market check dropping in trip.

Form: 334050

(18)

Stamp Of Authority^t³²

Age: 7| Weight: 9-8| J: Luke McAteer⁽⁷⁾| T: T G McCourt| OR: 58| CD

16/1

C&D winner at the festival 12 months ago. Last win came at Gowran Park over 7f last July off a 1lb lower mark. Worryingly weakened quickly on most recent start finishing last of 13 last month. More needed.

Form: 478330

(12)

Hatton Cross⁵¹

Age: 10| Weight: 9-5| J: W T Byrne⁽⁷⁾| T: T J O'Mara| OR: 55

20/1

Tough and genuine winner of four of his 67 starts on the Flat, three of them on turf. Coming back to a mark he can be dangerous from it may be a little early to be writing him off just yet.

Form: 32307-8

(17)

Autumn Mist²¹

Age: 3| Weight: 9-1| J: A Mackay⁽⁷⁾| T: J J Murphy| OR: 56

16/1

Flattered by her proximity when mid-field in a Limerick maiden in April, and has shown little in a couple of starts since. Not in the form required to play a part in the finish.

Form: 0900

(9)

Tribal Path^t¹⁷

Age: 9| Weight: 9-0| J: C D Maxwell⁽³⁾| T: D English| OR: 50| CD

7/1

Winner of three of his 39 starts on turf, the Giant's Causeway geldings last victory came over C&D, three years ago off a 28lb higher mark. Hints of a return to form at Tipperary recently and capable of a big run if in the mood.

Form: 0-90082

(6)

Guiding³²

Age: 3| Weight: 8-13| J: C P Hoban| T: S Nolan| OR: 54

5/1

Has been in good form this spring/summer and remains at the right end of the handicap, almost coming good again at Gowran Park over 7f on most recent start. Leading player.

Form: 351742

(15)

Dayereh^t¹⁴

Age: 5| Weight: 8-12| J: D M Simmonson⁽⁷⁾| T: M M McNiff| OR: 48

12/1

Eight-race maiden, well held on return to the turf at Gowran Park earlier this month. Handicap mark continues to fall but hard to be confident at present.

Form: 643497

(2)

Kody Ridge^t⁵¹

Age: 5| Weight: 8-11| J: Ross Coakley| T: J C McConnell| OR: 47

12/1

Winner of three of his 25 starts on turf with the Kodiac gelding's last win coming over 12 months ago when in the hands of trainer Roger Fell off a 17lb higher mark. Others preferred.

Form: 00-0060

(7)

Turf Range^p¹¹

Age: 3| Weight: 8-10| J: Alan Persse⁽⁷⁾| T: D Broad| OR: 51

16/1

Canford Cliffs colt has failed to build on a promising debut at Naas last season with a number of dismal efforts on the track since April. Last of five beaten 40L on latest start at Tramore earlier this month and impossible to fancy here.

Form: 60-0005

(5)

Raise The Tempo¹³

Age: 4| Weight: 8-9| J: S P Bird⁽¹⁰⁾| T: C O'Dwyer| OR: 45

(11)

Boughtinthedark⁸³

Age: 3| Weight: 8-7| J: James J Doyle| T: D Hogan| OR: 48

Form: 0-0860

(3)

Clifftop⁵³

Age: 3| Weight: 8-7| J: C G O'Dwyer⁽¹⁰⁾| T: H Rogers| OR: 48

Winner at Fairyhouse in May, the daughter of Most Improved, GUIDING can build on a fine second of 14 beaten a neck at Gowran Park last month. Always a willing participant, the three-year-old can see off the attentions of C&D winner Tribal Path and the gallant Solomons Seal who continues to hold his form despite a busy campaign. Reserves, Light Breeze and Ally Cay should come in for consideration if making the line-up.
