33/1
Daughter of Robin Des Champs out of a Blushing Flame mare. Half-sister to point-to-point winner. Last of 14 beaten 50L on debut when not unbacked at the Galway festival. Wear first-time hood and best avoided unless market vibes suggest otherwise.
Mahler filly. Dam, maiden hurdler, half-sister to fairly useful hurdler/chaser Urtheoneiwant. Encouraging effort on debut at Limerick when last seen in July but more needed in this company.
Filly by Montmartre. Dam French 1m7f/2m hurdle winner. Promising fourth of 12 beaten 8L on debut at Killarney last month. Place claims expected to improve.
Daughter of Oscar out of a Supreme Leader mare. Cost €10,000 as a three-year-old. Likely to be popular in the market for respected trainer/jockey combination.
Yeats filly out of a Flemensfirth mare. Dam unraced half-sister to very useful 1m4f to 2m Flat/2m-2m4f hurdles winner Sesenta and bumper/hurdle winners William Henry and Electric Concorde. Debut for leading trainer/jockey combination.

Forecasts

Suvretta (4/7), Jelona (3/1), Could Be Trouble (4/1), Rescue Package (7/1), Singing Tree (8/1), Fairyhill Run (10/1), Larkhill Lady (14/1), Ink And Rain (25/1), Karla Martina (33/1)

Verdict

In a race where the market is likely to be the best guide, the Yeats filly, SUVRETTA can get off the mark on debut for leading trainer and jockey combination, Willie and Patrick Mullins. Fellow debutantes' the Gordon Elliott-trained Singing Tree and Jelona, related to plenty of winners, appear to be the biggest dangers. Of those with experience, there was not a lot wrong with the effort on debut of Could Be Trouble at Clonmel in May and last years winning trainer retains the services of Derek O'Connor.
  1. Suvretta
  2. Singing Tree
  3. Jelona
