Declaration of War gelding, runner-up in novice contests at Yarmouth (1m) and Nottingham (1m2f) either side of a 425-day layoff. Just picked off last time having made running, leading claims.
Son of Archipenko, unfancied and twice well beaten in AW maidens at Newcastle over a mile around the turn of the year. Turf debut after a layoff. Plenty to work on.
Garswood colt, cost plenty, went close on second start in 1m Doncaster novice in May. Comes here having been well held off a mark of 78 on handicap bow at Redcar last month.
Paco Boy gelding, fair efforts in novice contests Doncaster (1m2f) and Catterick (1m4f) so far, handles some cut in the ground and likely has more to come before long.
Harbour Watch colt, lacks the scope of a few of these on paper and tailed off 80-1 chance on debut in 1m4f novice at this track already in the month. Hard to fancy.
Haafhd filly, triple-figure prices in both starts, unseated rider most recently at Catterick a week ago. Likely to be outsider again in this field.
Forecasts
Narynkol (2/9), Gabrials Boy (5/1), Double Honour (11/2), Art Of Diplomacy (25/1), Sandy Street (33/1), Pound Off You (100/1), Profile Prince (150/1)
Having finished second in both runs so far, either side of a layoff, this looks a fine chance for NARYNKOL to get on the board. Roger Varian's charge should have enough to give weight and a beating in this field. Gabrials Boy should have more to give before long while Double Honour would have a very good chance on his Doncaster maiden second in May.
