Has progressed with each start and was stopped in his run when runner-up to Liberty Beach in the Molecomb (jockey felt he would have won), so he's got leading claims down in class here.

Easy task last time, and best effort when 3¼L second to Liberty Beach in Listed Dragon Stakes at Sandown in July. Excuses in between, and claims if back to his best.

Novice winner at Beverley in May and while he wasn't at his best at Royal Ascot, the ground is an excuse, and he's run well to be second in strong nurseries the last twice. Can get involved at a price.

Has won both starts in novice company at Wolverhampton, and clearly fairly useful, but has to prove he can handle a straight 5f on turf, and plenty to find on form.

Purchased for £13,000 at the breeze-up sales in April and looks a bargain, winning both starts at Bath and Kempton. Taking a rise in class here, however, and will do well to keep his record intact.

Off the mark in a minor event at Down Royal last month, but predictably found the rise to Group 1 company much too steep at the Curragh last time behind Siskin. This is easier, but improvement still needed to get involved.

Half-brother to 2-y-o 5f winner Greyscape, and built on an encouraging debut over C&D when winning by beating Cobra eye by 1¾L at Haydock last month. Sure to do better still, and merits his place in this company.

Well backed and knew his job when making all on debut at Thirsk early this month. Clearly held in some regard, and not ruled out here, but improvement required against this stiffer opposition.

Maiden winner for Kieran Cotter, but soundly thrashed in the Queen Mary, and didn't show enough on debut for new yard to make her of much interest.

Easy Chester winner who wasn't seen to best effect in the Molecomb at Goodwood. Back to form when third to Orlaith in a Listed contest at Newbury, and place claims if building on that.

Won her maiden by 5L at Windsor, but found out in better company over 6f since. Back on track when second in a French Listed race last time, but a bit more required even if that form taken at face value.

Unlucky not to have won a race, bumping into some smart sorts in her six races to date, and had Listed winner Orlaith behind when runner-up at Goodwood last time. Could hit the frame at a price.

Forecasts

Alligator Alley (11/8), Wonderwork (5/1), Mrs Bouquet (6/1), Mighty Spirit (7/1), Treble Treble (9/1), Dylan De Vega (12/1), Dr Simpson (16/1), Dream Shot (16/1), Think Big (20/1), Kemble (20/1), He's A Laddie (20/1), Streamline (25/1), Daughter In Law (33/1)

Verdict

Donnacha O'Brien was adamant that he would have won the Molecomb Stakes on ALLIGATOR ALLEY but for being stopped in his run, and he gets a chance at compensation in this lesser contest. Mighty Spirit has some pretty strong form despite remaining a maiden, and can be placed again, while Dream Shot is another to have finished second to Liberty Beach, so can't be ignored after a confidence-boosting win last time.
