Capitalised on a big drop in the weights to score at Fairyhouse last November. Has struggled off his revised mark since and stable debut did not promise better.
Form has an inconsistent look about it but he came good at Warwick before dropping himself out at Cartmel. On balance he is hard to fancy off this mark.
Has produced his best at Newton Abbot and his run there in July 2018 promised better than he has produced in either start since. Visor applied by new handler and top rider booked for first start in a year.
Form for the year peaked in April-May but his next two runs have been more mediocre. Longer trip is a plus but his tendency to get behind could be a problem around here.
Back to form last time when taking advantage of a drop in the weights and a determined ride. Champion retains the mount and, although up 6lb, there is still value in his mark.
Can be given a chance on his spring form but his two latest runs are less promising. Overall record of 1-30 suggests others have better claims.
Triple winner between the flags who is yet to open his account under rules. Fair effort last time but he looks a lazy sort and a podium finish may the best he can hope for.
Fair point-to-pointer who won off this mark in 2017. Has only had two runs since and an absence of more than a year suggests he has had issues.
5-20 over fences but yard has been quiet and without a win for nearly five months. Ran in snatches over 2m6f last time before staying-on into fourth off 4lb higher mark on first start since summer break. Not out of it if in the mood.
Triple winner over fences but the losses have been mounting and he has been given a break since a poor run last time. Down to an attractive mark but hard to be confident he can capitalise.
Form peaked earlier this year but last two runs have been at a more modest level. Probably has to improve to defy this mark, but still worth a look in the market.
Has managed to pick up nine of his 19 point-to-points, albeit at a low level. Not so good under rules but has now joined a good yard who can extract improvement. One to note in the market.
Promising return at Plumpton in May (third) but latest efforts at Fontwell and Southwell rather dimmed the lights. Hard to have confidence in for now.
Forecasts
High Hatton (11/4), Master Sunrise (7/2), Velvet Cognac (7/1), Fr Humphrey (12/1), Cruising Bye (14/1), High Counsel (14/1), Definately Vinnie (14/1), Hardtorock (16/1), Scottshill (16/1), Johnny Og (16/1), Charlie Mon (20/1), Findusatgorcombe (22/1), Royals And Rebels (33/1)
Claire Dyson is doubly represented by Johnny Og and Charlie Mon. Both would have claims at their best but the yard have been quiet and they are returning from breaks. High Hatton has won nine point-to-points and gets in on a low weight for his stable debut. Velvet Cognac and Definately Vinnie can be give each-way chances whereas the winning vote goes to MASTER SUNRISE. It took all of Richard Johnson's powers of persuasion to get him home last time but that return to form leaves him on a workable mark and he may be the answer to a tricky race.
- Master Sunrise
- High Hatton
- Definately Vinnie
