Maiden point-to-pointer, beaten in excess of 30L both runs since going into maiden hurdles, remains opposable for now.
Lawman filly, 1-30 on the Flat having failed to add to debut success at Windsor in 2015. Goes jumping for the first time and market should be a fair guide to chances.
Not disgraced in soft-ground Southwell handicap hurdle in March when last spotted. Respected back in maiden company off the break and would have place claims at least.
Has finished second in 4-5 starts in maiden/novice hurdles to this point, latest when unable to reel in front-running odds-on jolly upped to this trip at Stratford. Repeat effort may suffice to get off the mark.
Remote fourth of eight in last month's hurdling bow at Stratford over shorter trip. Plenty to work on if seeking to improve on that placing now.
Tailed off six days ago over C&D on hurdling introduction, wasn't totally unfancied in the betting that day and should at least be sharper now. Something to work on.
Tailed off here over further on debut in June and didn't achieve a lot with 40L third of six in a selling handicap hurdle at Stratford this month. Plenty more required.
Modest mare in bumpers and well held on hurdles bow when beaten 25L in a Worcester maiden (2m, good to soft) last month. Big step forward is demanded.
Forecasts
Emerald Rocket (4/6), Caswell Bay (6/4), Irska (8/1), Cuddle Up (20/1), Top Beak (20/1), Onboard (25/1), Vinnie's Icon (33/1), Goodgollymissjolly (40/1)
EMERALD ROCKET has developed a fondness for finishing second over timber already and has been costly to back, but he did little wrong last time in trying to catch an all-the-way winner and should be able to open his account with a repeat effort. Caswell Bay wasn't disgraced in a Southwell handicap when last spotted in the spring and tops the opposition on form while jumping debutante Top Beak is worth a betting check in a weak contest.
- Emerald Rocket
- Caswell Bay
- Top Beak
