Showed definite improvement latest when rallying to finish fourth beaten 5¾L over 5½f at Ayr on soft. Step up to 6f then should help on handicap bow and if as effective on AW for her handicap bow she has each-way claims.
Last of seven on handicap bow at Sandown continued a pretty dismal run in which he's beaten just four rivals in four races to date. Stable he hails from the only hope really.
8¾L fifth over 6f at Pontefract latest just about his best effort in qualifiers. Form quite ordinary then but no surprise if he fares better in this very weak looking nursery.
Showed notable improvement latest when upped to 7f at Brighton as she lead from 2f out to inside final 1f eventually fading to finish fourth beaten 4¼L. AW/6f form not quite as positive but highly respected now.
Too keen for his own good but did show glimpse of promise latest when beaten 6¾L into fifth at Yarmouth over this trip. Handicaps will now help and found a weak one to start out.
Handicap debutant showed some signs of progress latest when beaten just over 7L into fifth of six at Yarmouth. More needed but been gelded and suspect he fares better here than in any previous race.
Far and away the most experienced runner but winless in seven. Beaten just ½L and a head respectively in last two races so maiden success surely imminent and looks to have a very good chance here.
Has 4L to find with Come On Girl based on their clash on her handicap debut at Lingfield last time out which was a career best. May close the gap a little here but reversal unlikely.
Shown plenty of temperament in three forgettable races to date so fact he's been gelded in two months since last sighted has to be considered a likely positive. Watching brief best bet however on handicap bow.
Beaten just three rivals total in as many starts and was beaten a long way out at Lingfield latest. Hard to find any enthusiasm.
Stopped quickly after leading at Yarmouth in second start and never involved in other two races. Switch to handicaps can help but not enough to see her make the frame.
After two lasts he only beat one rival on handicap bow at Nottingham latest so only real hope is that AW surface has a transformative effect.
Forecasts
Come On Girl (7/2), Pearl Stream (4/1), Yorkshire Grey (6/1), Interrupted Dream (8/1), Red Jasper (10/1), Grace Plunkett (10/1), Hot Date (10/1), Positive Light (12/1), Mungo's Quest (16/1), Resplendent Rose (25/1), Sir Rodneyredblood (40/1), Quarrystreetmagic (50/1)
In a race where there are plenty of handicap debutants looking to leave pretty ordinary efforts behind, far and away the safest bet is COME ON GIRL who is the most experienced and she certainly has the best form. The biggest danger may come from Positive Lightwho showed plenty of pace over 7f last time and if she can transfer that improvement to AW and this 6f trip she is sure to go close. Another on the shortlist is Pearl Stream who looks sure to appreciate 6f on her handicap bow.
- Come On Girl
- Positive Light
- Pearl Stream
