Out of luck since winning a novice chase at Down Royal in March. Well held at Bangor-On-Dee before being pulled up at Haydock when last seen in April when reportedly bursting blood vessels. Market likely to be the best guide.

Useful sort over fences winning one of his eight starts but hitting the frame on a further three occasions. Lightly raced since November with market possibly the best guide to his chances here.

Off the mark for connections over the larger obstacles winning at Clonmel in June before subsequently winning at Roscommon last month off a 8lb lower mark. Better than his last run at the Galway festival suggests. Leading player.

Won on his sole chase start so far when landing a beginners contest over C&D in May. Well beaten over hurdles on latest start at the Galway festival but very much merits plenty of respect back over fences.

Experienced chaser, winner of three of his 19 starts. Running well in defeat of late, including on his latest start at Kilbeggan earlier this month. More needed but not one to put a line through.

Winner of two of his 17 starts over the larger obstacles. Now 7lb below his last winning mark but his form this season has to be a major concern.

Popular veteran who loves it round here. Winner of three of his 11 starts at the track including success over C&D in June off a 6lb lower mark. Can go well at a price.

Tough and genuine sort who was in good form between August and November last term over hurdles. Off the mark over fences on just her second start at Downpatrick when last seen in June. Another bold bid expected.

Currently on a five-race losing run over the larger obstacles with the gelding's last win coming at Gowran Park off a 2lb higher mark two years ago. Could find one or two better handicapped sorts lurking.

Beaten on three starts since winning a Wexford handicap off a 7lb lower mark in April. Still holding his form, to a certain extent, over fences and not one to easily dismiss.

Winner of one of his five starts over C&D. Well held on each of his last three starts this season and appears to have a bit to prove in a race of this nature.

Course winner that has also won over this trip. Has failed to build on a promising start over fences at Limerick in May and is hard to recommend on current evidence.

Still tough and genuine despite his advancing years the gelding landed a second chase win of his career in a Roscommon handicap chase earlier this month off a 7lb lower mark. Career high mark and drop in trip are a concern but can still go well.

Verdict

The Gordon Elliott-yard won this contest 12 months ago with Mill Quest with today's jockey Jack Kennedy in the plate and their US bred gelding FROM EDEN can procure the prize for the Co Meath operation here. There will be many dangers in the contest for the six-year-old most notably the J P McManus-owned pair, Demi Plie and Treasure Chest while the evergreen, October Revolution will be waiting to take advantage of any shortcomings from the main protagonists.
