Produced a career best when splitting Khaadem and Space Traveller at Newbury in May, and shaped much better than the result when behind former in G3 Hackwood Stakes there next. Long way below par latest but chances if bouncing back.
Already a C&D winner this season and can be argued his C&D third in 20-runner bet365 handicap was an even better effort. Upped 1lb but has really likable claims here.
Relishes bottomless ground and won an Ayr Listed race on it last September. Much best effort this year when fifth of 8 to Maid In India in Listed race at Haydock but well held since in York handicap and has a break presumable awaiting soft ground.
Gained first win since two-year-old days when scalping C&D specialist Pass The Vino here two starts back and not beaten far off revised mark since when given plenty to do at Ascot. Seems to have hit form and highly respected.
Carries a 6lb penalty here having gained second success of his three-year-old season at Leicester just six days ago. This warmer but is clearly on the up and could very easily overcome the penalty.
Behind a couple of these over C&D penultimately but excellent effort at Ascot latest when third is very strong handicap at 25/1. That may have been a career best and he now merits respect.
Triple fast ground winner (5f/7f) who is 8lb higher than when scoring at Chester on his penultimate start. Not disgraced in a big field at Newmarket last time but more needed for another win.
Bath winner in July has been basically been in solid form in 2019 but ran poorly at Goodwood latest when a never involved 22nd of 23. Can leave that behind but not sure he's as well handicapped as some.
Hardly unexposed (nine juvenile runs) registering his one win over 5f (AW) proved better than ever last time taking a 6f 3yo handicap (beat a useful sort). Not seen since that win in May though and faces some race fit rivals here.
Forecasts
Aplomb (7/4), Dazzling Dan (10/3), Oxted (6/1), Kinks (7/1), Dave Dexter (12/1), Woven (16/1), Lihou (16/1), Tinto (16/1), Gabrial The Wire (16/1)
In a wide-open contest the profile of C&D winner DAZZLING DAN is very appealing and he gets the vote after running another stormer here last time out when third of 20. Perhaps the biggest danger will prove Kinks who beat the rival who the selection had been third to earlier in the campaign two starts back, The lightly raced Aplomb under a penalty is the dark-horse for the highly respected William Haggas yard.
