Yet to race on the Flat having shown modest form in bumpers and over hurdles; Hard to think that she will have enough to cope with a quartet of three-year-olds all with more ability than she's shown so far.

Looked to be showing a fairly level standard of form on turf (shaped better than finishing position on handicap debut) until producing her best effort to date on C&D debut last time. Second last time (pair she split both won since); leading chance.
Looks to have ability having made her stable debut after a long break last time (easy to back; still looked green), not knocked around, improvement likely. Looks the second best of the stables two runners though; one for the longer term.

Plenty of her siblings have served the yard well; showed plenty to work on from her debut third over 1m2f at Nottingham last month. Bred to stay well, even this trip may prove a little sharp but she's open to improvement, should get involved.

Enthusiasm is tempered for her by the fact that she's been beaten at odds-on twice since making a very promising debut at Salisbury in May over a 2f shorter trip. Wasted what looked to be a good opening last time; now makes her AW debut.

Forecasts

Ambling (8/13), The Very Moon (11/4), Honfleur (8/1), Midnights' Gift (10/1), Parisian Affair (100/1)

Verdict

Hard not to glance at AMBLING and give her a leading chance of landing this prize having looked to take a step forward in her performances (had appeared to plateau) when switched to the AW last time. The two that she split have both won again since to add some credence to the form and a repeat of that C&D second ought to be good enough to see her break her maiden. The Very Moon has so far proved expensive to follow but she looks the better of the two Sir Michael Stoute runners with Honfleur, the other Freemason Lodge runner looking one who will need a little more time. That may well enable Midnights’ Gift to take another third place to underline her potential.
